PRESENTED BY Mr KK Tang is a member of the ICAEW as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS). He served as a Council member of ICPAS from 2002 to 2006. He has also served on the governing body of XBRL International, a consortium to develop and promote the XBRL standard for electronic financial reporting. Mr Tang has three decades experience of business and financial analysis in financial institutions and public listed companies. His desire is to help financial professionals eliminate the manual cut-and-paste exercise that takes too much time, invites errors and slows down month-end analysis and reporting. His humorous, personal and practical style of lecturing has helped many corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, to meet the unrelenting pressure to deliver accurate and timely business information. VISUAL ANALYTICS BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DASHBOARDS POWERFUL VISUAL IMPACT USING EXCEL This two-day course will provide participants with an understanding of the power of visual perception to design dashboards to communicate your message clearly, effectively and compellingly. You will then develop such dashboards using Excel. Why you should attend The business of information management helping organisations to make sense of their proliferating data is known as Business Intelligence. Central to all BI systems is the ability to create dashboards, displaying all the required information on a single screen: clearly and without distraction, in a manner that can be quickly examined and understood. Clearly presenting everything on a single screen requires a careful design and conscious planning. This course provides participants with a solid understanding of visual perception and human cognition: what works, what doesn t, and why. Next, the course explores various quantitative business analysis techniques used to depict trends, patterns and exceptions. The process of designing a good dashboard includes the ability to model the users decision-making process. On the second day, you will acquire the skills to create the dashboards using Excel, without the cost of expensive enterprise software. This is a powerful course that brings together the theoretical knowledge of dashboards with practical usage. I can apply my skills at work instantly best of all, at no additional IT costs!
