2 NCLEX Success Coordinator Utilize strategies to work with undergraduate students in three program tracks (ASN, BSN & ABSN) who are determined to be at risk for passing NCLEX. Strategies include intensive one on one student sessions to analyze learning styles, study/ test taking strategies and target areas of weakness for the purpose of developing a plan to improve outcomes. Also, lead instructor for Fundamentals in Nursing course for ASN curriculum. Provide instruction for the ASN Leadership Course. Chair the NCLEX and Evaluation Committee for the ASN curriculum. Key Functions include working with system wide Chief Nursing Officers and Human Resources to determine program hiring requirements and staffing needs for specific student programs for the system. Reviews applications and interviews all program applicants to determine if they are an appropriate candidate and good fit for programs they have applied to. Matches students with clinical areas within the Health System for their program experience. Participates in program orientations. Performs rounds on units at Cleveland Clinic Main campus and receives updates from identified regional hospital contact person (s) regarding student progress at their facility. Key considerations are the comparison of the different levels of educational preparation of nurses providing the cessation interventions and quit rates; setting where the interventions occur and quit rates.
