Methods - Meeting Room 215 Projector Switch on PC in cabinet - or attach laptop with VGA & audio cable [or HDMI cable] Insert the pointer s USB receiver (stored in pointer base) into front of computer or laptop, if required for presentations. NB Pointer is turned off when receiver is stored in the pointer base Turn on wireless keyboard and mouse (on base) Touch small display blank screen to wake it Touch CVR screen to enter Use Touch Screen icons to choose between PC or laptop use If using 3D projection use Touch Screen Icons to choose between the type required Use Touch Screen PowerOn icon to start the projector system Logon to computer When finished log out and shutdown the PC or laptop Press Power Off on Touch Screen to shut down the projector. IMPORTANT - DO NOT leave the projector switched on as it wastes the lamp Replace the USB receiver back into the pointer s base and return to the cabinet Turn the wireless keyboard and mouse off Meeting room folding wall - opening and closing The acoustic moveable wall between Rooms 215 and 216 may be opened for full seminars - seating up to 34 as a combined room. Please see Janitor to arrange this and to change seating layout, if required.
Methods - Meeting Room 216 Wall Display and Webcam Switch on system at small AMX wall plate The AV system and webcam are controlled using the remote control after switching on wall plate Full Video Conferencing via JANET network Calling a full Video Conferencing system at the other end gives best performance. The lower band width of Skype may be problematic; a software client is available for Skype user at other end of call to download to use this system. Do Not attempt to move or rotate the webcam manually Press Home on the Remote To make a call press Call > Enter the contact details>call The five buttons along the top of the Remote correspond to the five tabs which appear along the bottom of the screen. To control the camera position press Home>Camera Control>Camera Presets> straight ahead Continue to move the camera using the When finished press Home> Camera Control> Camera Presets> park Switch off the system at the wall plate, return microphone and remote to webcam shelf

(Pointer is turned off when USB receiver is stored in pointer base) Turn on wireless mouse (on base) Switch on small AMX wall plate and allow projector a few minutes to warm-up Press Main PC or laptop at wall panel Log on to PC using your GUID You can use your finger instead of the mouse on the Smart Board Open Smart Board Programs if not visible at left hand side of screen Start>All Programs>Smart Technologies> Smart Ink equivalent to Flip Chart Smart Document Drag box to open using your finger Use electronic pens provided under SmartBoard or use your finger on the Smart Board DO NOT use any other types of pens or marker pens After use, shutdown PC Ctrl+Alt+Del -> Red Button on Desktop IMPORTANT - Switch off at the AMX wall plate to turn off the projector Return the pointer USB receiver to pointer s base to turn it off Switch off mouse (on base) Skype A webcam for Skype use is available from Reception 102 Instructions for use are kept with the webcam Return webcam to Reception 102 after use Conference Phone See instructions on separate sheet available in the 218

Use to HDMI for TV or PC if VGA to LT Logon to SSD Open Skype software from Taskbar or All Programs Login to Skype using using account details available from Reception Test using Echo/Sound Test Service in the contacts list If problems; in Skype check Tools> Options> Audio Settings> o Microphone: Chat 160 o Speaker: Chat 160 o Skype check Tools> Options > Video Settings> o o Position chairs Logitech Camera shortcut to move & zoom Mute Microphone until ready for call to avoid accidents Add caller contact details to address book Send request as prompted and wait for reply Call when ready (unmute) When finished presentation or Skype call shut down the computer Switch display off using the Remote Unplug table microphone and switch off wireless mouse The webcam remains on the TV display
