Frequently Asked Questions How do I find my appropriate level? If you already have some German knowledge, taking a placement test will make sure that you are allocated to the appropriate class. What can I do if I feel that I am not in the right level? If you feel you are not in the right level, please talk to your teacher or a staff member of the Language Department immediately. How do I proceed to the next level? Once you have completed a course you can proceed to the next level unless you wish to repeat the level, or we recommend you to do so. What is the workload involved after class? Generally, the teacher assigns homework after each class. In addition to this, you will achieve better results if you revise the vocabulary and grammar structures learnt in class. This should take approximately 30 60 minutes a week. Are the course materials provided by the Goethe-Institut? The course fee does not include the course books. Unless otherwise specified, you will need to purchase the course book/s. They are available at the reception desk. For a list of local bookshops that stock language learning books and resources, please contact us. How can I catch up on any missed classes? Material covered in class, as well as homework are available in the online classbook. You can also talk to your teacher about catching up. Do I get a certificate of attendance?
