Timeline of Steel Roofing in Australia 1829 Wrought Iron is fi rst used in roofi ng with corrugations stamped in the sheets. The corrugation profi le is patented. 1850-1890 Over 12 different corrugated profi les in various shapes and sizes available from over 30 brands. John Lysaght & Co. commence in 1862. 1890-1930 External factors such as decrease in colonisation, two World Wars and the depression result in UK manufacturers standardising offer to a choice of 3 different 3 corrugated profi les. John Lysaght & Co. commence manufacturing corrugated iron in Australia. Steel technology replaces wrought iron. 1930-1939 Shallow V shaped corrugated fencing iron migrates to the roof. 1959 Continuous roll-forming of corrugated steel is introduced to the market. 1966 Colorbond steel solid paint with a galvanized base is fi rst introduced in to the Australian market. A minor revolution. 1976 Zincalume based steel is fi rst introduced in to the Australian Market. A bigger revolution. 2011 Revolution Roofi ng s True Oak corrugated is introduced. First time the original corrugated profi le is made in Australia. A REVOLUTION IN AUSTRALIAN ROOFING RR12.1

REVSPEC TRUE OAK CORRUGATED SERIES TRUE OAK CORRUGATED SERIES For too many years architects, builders and roofers have had limited choices in roofi ng and material options. Until now. In an industry starved of innovation, Revolution Roofi ng has identifi ed a new opportunity to bring a distinct character back to Australia s roofscapes. It s time to roll out a bolder, character fi lled and more aesthetically pleasing roofi ng alternative to stimulate, captivate and invigorate the way the market thinks about steel roofi ng. Introducing True Oak a return to a rounder, fuller, more shapely and deeper profile in corrugated roofing popular before the turn of the century. True Oak is a unique product range featuring more options, colours and more importantly, choices for anyone who specifi es roofi ng. Integrating form and function, the character and distinct shadowlines of the True Oak profi les are designed to help stimulate the imaginations of architects, builders, roofers and their customers. The original deeper, residential grade corrugated profi le was a 13/16 inch (21mm) rounded, snub nose design and strikingly different to the current 15.9mm V-shaped corrugated profi le. It was a quality product used to create functional buildings and distinctive forms of appealing simplicity. Now, thanks to Revolution Roofi ng, it s back better than ever. Corrugated iron has been around for over 180 years in Australia. Throughout this time, corro has gone from a choice of many varying profi les to a choice of just one. Roofi ng and material choices and options for specifying architects have become increasingly limited in Australia, with only one 3 inch shallow corrugated offering being available since 1939. This unfortunate lack of development in new corrugated roofi ng over the past 70 years has led to a proliferation of featureless, lackluster roofi ng profi les. With the revolutionary True Oak profi les, we have a product that allows roofi ng to once again become a major part of a residential building s identity, style and charm. By marrying the lessons of history with 21st Century technology, Revolution Roofi ng heralds a new era in roofi ng with its continuous, deep, fully rounded corrugated profi le. Not since 1829 has there been this much of a change to the Australian Roof Industry and we invite you to be among the fi rst to take advantage of the superbly versatile True Oak series. FEATURES OF THE TRUE OAK CORRUGATED SERIES Smooth, rounded sinusoidal wave profi le which can be seen from afar. Strikingly different from the shallow v-shaped post 1930 s profi le with no fl at areas. Continuous curves create an ever changing shadow and prison bar aesthetics. Revives the original classic 1829 profi le. Superior strength & water carrying capacity. 20 Year Material & Installation Guarantee when installed by a Revolution Roofi ng Licensed Contractor. New semi metallic colour Cordite Grey unique to Revolution Roofi ng. Re-engineered superior profi le optimising the use of steel. 2

REVSPEC MAXLINE 340 MAXLINE 340 INSTALLATION & SCREWS NON-CYCLONIC Revolution Roofing recommend installing a waterproof, breathable, vapour membrane between the cladding and the support. This will offer a second line of defence against moisture ingress. The installation of the MaxLine 340 is to be carried out by a Revolution Roofing Licenced and Trained Contractor. Installation details are available on request. All fixings to be concealed and tolerance for material thermal movement must be allowed for during installation. Using the recommended fasteners, fix the first clip, with the arrow of the clip pointing towards the area to be laid at a 90 degree angle to the gutter in a straight line. Please endeavour to ensure the overlaps face away from the wind. All rainwater goods associated with the installation of MaxLine 340 are available from Revolution Roofing and must be fixed to allow for thermal expansion. Pan fixing The MaxLine 340 can be pan fixed to timber or steel supports with the recommended fasteners no less than 30mm from sheet ends. Sheet Ends At the end of the purlins, cut the deck and the clip to suit. It is recommended to allow roof sheets to overlap into gutters by about 50mm. Turn up MaxLine 340 pans at the ridge line. Pans should be turned down a the gutter line of lower pitches. Lengths Fix first sheet to clips using downward pressure ensuring deck is properly engaged into clip. Check there is adequate overhang of the sheet to the eaves line. Lengths are provided are your required length. CLIP FIXING Concealed fixing is the method of fixing sheets using fasteners, which do not pass through the sheet. Instead, the cladding is held in place with clips, refer the below table for fastening clips. MaxLine 340 Clip Fixing (Non-Cyclonic) Type With Insulation Fixing to Steel and Timber M6-11 x 25mm Roofzip Position the strap of the next clip over the top of the male rib then fix to previous clip using the locating tab. Proceed with next MaxLine 340 sheet by engaging the female rib onto the mal rib with the strap of the clip in between.
