CLEVER DEVICES Associate, Woodbury, NY I. Job Summary: The Associate is an entry level role. Associates rotate between Operations, Business Development and Engineering in two month shifts within the first six months of their tenure. Additionally, the Associate will attend periodic classes as assigned. Finally the Associate is required to complete a presentation on an innovation in process, product or market to a Senior Management panel prior to the end of their first year. The Associate will be placed in a home department by the end of their first year after their evaluation. Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Computer) or Computer Programming. II. III. Department: Executive Reporting Relationships: The Associate will report to the manager of the group they are working in and ultimately to one Manager as assigned. IV. Primary Duties during six months of rotations: Works on individual projects or on large programs Helps to ensure applicable technology and schedule performance of assigned projects Helps to ensure projects meet cost limitations and established standards Assists in monitoring adherence to project plan and schedules. May conduct product demonstrations and technical overviews May assist and participate in the development of business plans, marketing strategy or order forecasts Research competitor pricing Assist in preparation and presentation of demonstrations of company products May provide technical support to sales force May analyze and correlate quantitative data into real event data Attends and completes assigned training Researches, writes and presents Individual Associate Project to Senior Management Committee May provide quality assurance inspections May implement software system testing procedures. Project Manager: The Project Manager is responsible for the financial, applicable technology and schedule performance of assigned projects within cost limitations and established standards. The Project Manager leads the project team for technical review of system design necessary to execute the assigned projects. Requires 30-40% travel to onsite customer facilities including potential travel abroad. Position requires 10+ years experience as a Project Manager in a technical or engineering environment and PMP certification. Assistant Project Manager: The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the applicable technology and schedule performance of assigned projects within cost limitations and standards. The Assistant Project Manager also is responsible for helping lead the project team for technical review of system design and documentation with the customer. Deployment: Systems Systems Engineer: The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces. The Systems Engineer coordinates system development and integration tasks to include design, integration and formal testing. The Systems Engineer also works to support the Systems Engineering team. Requires 5+ years experience in engineering development and 5+ years experience in systems engineering involving hardware, software, data and communications technologies. The Project Engineer works closely with the Systems Engineer to analyze the customer requirements and required functionality early in the project cycle; conduct the customer design reviews, conduct the Factory Acceptance Testing with the Customer and lead the subsequent deployment at the Customer site. Participate in the System Acceptance Testing with the Lead Project or Systems Engineer. Requires 40% travel to onsite customer facilities including potential travel abroad. Requires 3+ years experience in project/ systems engineering involving hardware, software, data and communications technologies. Deployment: Data Data Specialist: The Data Systems Specialist is responsible for leading and participating in the data modeling and other data initiatives of integrating Clever Devices systems and customers systems. The Data Systems Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Data Systems Manager and Data Collectors to provide existing features and new applications to linked servers. Ultimately the Data Systems Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining the databases used at Clever Devices and ensuring they are in sync with the customer requirements. Requires 2 to 5 years experience developing and maintaining and administrating databases.
Deployment: Technical Support System Support Manager: The System Support Manager (SSM) manages a team of technical and system support specialists and oversees daily support operations. The primary function of the position is to oversee the lifecycle and ultimate resolution of technical issues reported by customers. The SSM requires technical proficiency and strong leadership capabilities and acts as the point of contact for Clever Devices customers seeking support. The SSM shall demonstrate exceptional skills in managing people, customer service, technical investigation and problem solving, as well as communication to effectively maintain a cooperative working relationship with fellow managers, employees and customers. Requires 10+ years experience in a technical support or engineering environment which involves hardware, software, data, and communications technologies and 5+ years in a help desk or technical support management role. ENGINEERING C# Developer: Clever Devices is growing and as a result we are continually seeking talented Senior Software Developers (with skills in C# and.net) to join our passionate team of developers. The primary technologies used in this particular position are: multi-threading, LINQ, data structures, ADO.NET, writing stored procedures, unit testing, TCP and sockets, Windows Services, WCF web services, Windows Forms, HTML/Javascript, ASP.NET, MVC3, and jquery with jqueryui. Java Developer: The ideal candidate will have strong experience in each of the following: Java, JavaScript, jquery, Struts, XML, JSON, JUnit, SQL Server, JSP. Product Marketing Manager: As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products. You will craft the messaging and positioning for products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. Requires 30% travel to onsite customer facilities and trade shows including potential travel abroad. Requires 5+ years of software product marketing experience with at least 2 years experience in a field facing role Product Specialist: The Product Specialist is a junior level position responsible for working closely with Product Managers, Product Engineers, and Strategic Account Managers to assist in growing/developing new business opportunities and the facilitation of the Agile Development Process. PRICING & PROPOSALS Proposal Writer/Systems Engineer: The Senior Systems Architect Proposal Writer is responsible for leading and writing complex proposals from conception through to submission by determining the proposal layout, developing and defining the system architecture / technical solution, defining the project deployment plan and on-going service approach, gathering, analyzing and formatting information, writing drafts, ensuring compliance with the RFP/RFI technical requirements and seeking the appropriate approvals. In addition, where required the Senior Systems Architect Proposal Writer is responsible for leading the support of the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces for internal and external products. Requires ability to travel when required, work late and work over the weekend on occasion to meet deadlines.
