Emergency Shelters General Information Concerning Patients from Shelters The City of Ottawa has centralized information concerning shelter bed availability. Call 311. Almost all shelters have the requirement that clients vacate the premises during the day. Clients are only allowed bed rest if they have a doctor s note. Paper copies of prescriptions are at risk of becoming lost. Consider faxing the prescription to the patient s pharmacy.
