Mexico MULTI-TENANT DATACENTER MARKET This report provides an overview of the competitive dynamics in the Mexico market, a 451 Research Market Map of the competitors in the area, market share of the dominant providers, supply-demand and utilization trends, a discussion of planned MTDC builds and profiles of prominent Mexican MTDC providers with a market outlook for each. KEY FINDINGS We characterize the Mexico market as an emerging datacenter market, which means it is underserved with multitenant datacenter (MTDC) facilities, providing opportunity for rapid market growth. We forecast that the MTDC supply in Mexico will experience solid growth over the period from 2013 to 2017, with a CAGR of 11.7% as providers in the market continue to bring much-needed operational datacenter capacity to market. We expect that MTDC supply and demand will stay roughly in balance in Mexico, as providers in Mexico tend to be conservative and expand in more of a just-in-time fashion and are unwilling to invest speculatively. The Mexican market has 14 metro areas with a population of over 1 million, but 10 of these metro areas do not yet have MTDC facilities. Almost all providers that offer MTDC services in Mexico also offer services higher up the IT stack, including hosting, cloud or IT outsourcing. We are aware of several providers from other countries that have looked at the Mexico market. Entry by one or more of these providers is likely considering the underserved nature of the MTDC market in Mexico. AUGUST 2015
