Autumn 2008: Began three year term as area chair for BASC (Brown Alumni Schools Committee). Area Chairs serve a three-year term, organizing alumni volunteers to interview applicants and recruit new students for Brown in a given geographic area. Major duties include managing, motivating, recruiting, and assigning a committee of volunteers to conduct applicant interviews and attend college fairs and local Brown Club/BASC events. Reflective Statement During the past year, I have been more formally involved in the quality assurance program for the Neuroradiology Division, compiling semi annual comprehensive reports. I have as always, thoroughly enjoyed teaching the residents and fellows. This year I had the additional honor of serving on the Resident Recruitment Committee and enjoyed meeting many of our future residents. In the coming year, I hope to intensify and improve my efforts at teaching the residents and fellows. I also look forward to participating in whatever activities Dr. Castillo deems important for the division and/or my professional development.
