Our engineers and technicians provide maintenance and repair support, reliability engineering support, onboard maintenance training support, computer hardware and software support, and information system development and information technology support. These services have been delivered in support of both surface ships, nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers in numerous locations, including San Diego, Pearl Harbor, and Japan. 1.Maintenance and Repair Support: Epsilon provides direct shipboard support on a day-to-day basis as well as during regularly scheduled shipboard acceptance tests that includes troubleshooting guidance and assistance, identifying causes for equipment and system failures, and executing repairs ranging from individual component/equipment grooming to full-on equipment or system overhaul. Our technicians also evaluate systems/equipment status and operator capability. Epsilon has maintenance and repair expertise in gas turbine engines and controls, diesel engine operations and inspections, air conditioning and refrigeration, and all systems and equipment associated with naval nuclear propulsion plants. 2.Program Support : Epsilon personnel provide program support to SWRMC for shipboard common
process improvement under this contract; we have in-depth knowledge and experience in organizational management and have supported a wide variety of surface ship and submarine programs. Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRAs), HMERAs, and C5RAs Epsilon program management support personnel have coordinated the conduct of every surface ship and submarine TSRA, HMERA, and C5RA conducted by SWRMC over the past 15 months, including assessments conducted in Hawaii and Japan. Epsilon personnel fulfill the program coordinator function at SWRMC for all assessment common processes Functional Checks Epsilon personnel conduct system and equipment functional checks using all manner of support equipment including component technical manuals, technical repair standards, drawings, and prints. 3. Reliability Engineering Support: Utilizing data gathered from onboard systems such as automatic data logging, Integrated Condition Assessment System (ICAS), and installed data collection systems used for sea trials testing, Epsilon engineers have diagnosed complex gas turbine engine, electrical distribution, and main propulsion-related problems onboard a variety of surface ships including AEGIS cruisers, AEGIS destroyers, and FFG 7 class guided missile frigates. We have provided expertise in management of the Troubled Systems Program (TSP), which analyzes and reports system failures and assigns system engineering solution priorities for those failures through the assigned In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). 4. Onboard Maintenance Training Support: Epsilon spearheaded the training of SWRMC personnel in the requirements for conducting work in the propulsion plant spaces of nuclear-powered ships and submarines, and has set in motion a program for continuing annual refresher training to ensure SWRMC always has personnel trained to conduct work in these restricted spaces. 5. Computer Hardware and Software Support Epsilon Systems provides computer hardware and software support functions. Our technicians and engineers are well versed in the use of Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)-certified and -compatible software, as well as handheld portable data devices, pen computers, scanners, and laptop and notebook computers. We also have access to resources and expertise to support virtually any computer hardware or software need.
