Backgrund Infrmatin SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm brings yur SAP Lumira cntent int yur SAP BusinessObjects BI platfrm deplyment, thus allwing yu t utilize the security, scalability, and ease f use the BI platfrm prvides. The SAP Lumira viewer is integrated int the SAP BusinesObjects BI platfrm as a web applicatin, enabling users t have the same experience viewing and explring stries in the BI Launchpad as they d in SAP Lumira. The SAP BusinessObjects BI platfrm enfrces security n Lumira dcuments, and allws access and categrizatin in the same manner as ther BI platfrm cntent, allwing yu t seamlessly adpt SAP Lumira within yur rganizatin. This slutin cntains fur essential cmpnents: SAP Lumira server client has the fllwing cmpnents: Lumira Desktp: This acquires and prepares data. Als, it creates visualizatins, and stries frm Lumira Desktp and saves it t BI Platfrm. Launch pad viewer: This is a web applicatin that acts a windw fr users t view infrmatin in the frm f data, visualizatins and reprts. It als allws users t exprt the cntent t ther business applicatins (like Micrsft Excel) and als t save it t a specified lcatin. Users can als use varius analytical tls t explre the infrmatin. SAP Lumira server: This is a prcessing server fr Lumira cntent n SAP businessobjects BI Platfrm; it hsts the in-memry velcity engine. SAP Lumira Web Applicatins: This is embedded within the BI Launchpad and CMC applicatins t allw access t Lumira cntent within BI Launchpad and CMC (Viewer and Applicatin). SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platfrm server: The server supprting the BI Platfrm. 3. Prerequisites Befre starting the installatin, SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm installatin wizard runs a prerequisite check fr the fllwing system requirements: Yu have 64-bit perating system. Yu have administratr rights. Yu have the required pen prts. Yu have minimum 8 GB drive space. Yu have minimum 16 GB RAM. Yu have installed SAP Business Objects BI platfrm 4.1 SP3 r abve. Yu have uninstalled SAP BusinessObjects BI Add-n fr SAP Lumira befre prceeding with SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm installatin. Yu have uninstalled Infrmatin Platfrm prcessr (IPS) and Crystal Server set up befre prceeding with SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm installatin. Ensure that SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platfrm 4.1 SP3 r abve is installed and cnfigured crrectly as described in the Business Intelligence Platfrm Installatin Guide at: http://service.sap.cm/instguides. Yu must have administratr access t the designated machine fr installatin. Crrect cnfiguratin means the machine n which SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platfrm 4.1 SP3 r abve is installed, is perating and accessible n the netwrk. Make a nte f the CMS lgn credentials fr the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platfrm 4.1 SP3 r abve installatins. Yu need these when installing SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm. Step-by-Step Prcedure Distributed deplyment: In the distributed BI Platfrm deplyment, all the servers exist n different machine. When yu deply SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm n a machine that des nt have a CMS Installatin, it shuld cnnect t anther Central Management Server (CMS) n a separate machine n yur netwrk. CMS can als be n a Linux/Unix machine in a distributed deplyment scenari. Tw images belw shw what BI 4.1 cmpnent/service is required fr what cunterpart Lumira server/cmpnent Server 1 Server2 BI 4.1/Lumira BI 4.1/Lumira Lumira server cmpnents requires Adaptive Prcessing Server (APS) Web Applicatins: Ensure yu have BI platfrm web tier with Tmcat r Web Applicatin Cntainer Server (WACS). Restful Web Services: Ensure yu have Web Applicatin Cntainer Server (WACS) r Restful Web Services in SAP BI platfrm. Scheduler Service: Ensure yu have installed Adaptive Jb Server (AJS) in SAP BI platfrm. Dwnlad SAP Lumira, server fr BI Platfrm frm SAP Service Marketplace. http://supprt.sap.cm/swdc 4
Extract dwnladed file/sftware. Right-click n setup.exe file and chse Run as administratr. Review yur license agreement, and select the I accept the License Agreement check bx. Chse Next. 5
Select the cmpnents that yu want t install n Server 1. Chse Next. 6
Pre-requisite, make sure AdaptivePrcessingServer is enabled and running in CMC In parallel, select the cmpnent yu want t install n Server 2 7
Similarly, n yur secnd server PS: We are installing n tw separate servers in parallel. Enter yur CMS lgn credentials: CMS Name If CMS is nt installed in yur system, the field remains empty. Yu need t enter the details manually. 8
Prt number If CMS is nt installed in yur system, the field remains empty. Yu need t enter the details manually. User Name. By default Administratr is the user name. Yu cannt edit the User Name field. Passwrd Chse Next t start the installatin. Chse Finish t cmplete the installatin. 9
Cnfirm installatin in Cntrl panel n Windws. Yu have successfully installed Lumira server n SAP BusinessObjects. 10
5. Related Cntent There are several gtchas which happen when yu install Lumira n Windws with a Linux bx as the primary. 1. The Linux Web Tier will nt be updated s yu will nt have the view and schedule ptins fr Lumira 2. The Restful sectin f the WACS server will nt be updated s Lumira Desktp will nt be able t cnnect and publish t the Linux Bx 3. Fr BI 4.1 SP3 and SP4 (SP5 includes it by default), the Lumira Lums bject type (visilums) will nt exist in the CMS database and will nt be added unless yu install it n a windws nde that has a CMS server. 4. If yu did nt have the restful services installed previusly Lumira will nt recgnize this and will prceed as thugh there were n errrs but wn t update the WACS server with the Mst f these can be fixed by cpying files frm the windws system t the linux system. Hwever, if yu didn t have the WACS server and web tier and CMS n the windws nde at time f install then the files wn t be there t cpy ver. Lumira Server fr BI Platfrm is ready fr Enterprise Deplyment, supprts mst f the Enterprise deplyment requires f BI Platfrm deplyment. Distributed Deplyment Lumira server: BI Platfrm Adaptive prcessing server is the pre-requisite fr Lumira Server installatin Lumira Web Applicatin: BI Platfrm Web Tier is the pre-requisite fr Lumira Web Applicatin installatin Lumira Restfull Web services: BI Platfrm WACS server is the pre-requisite fr Lumira Restfull Web Service installatin Lumira Scheduling Service: BI Platfrm Adaptive Server is the pre-requisite fr Lumira Scheduling Service installatin Clustering supprt fr High availability Cluster Lumira Server: Lumira Server can be clustered fr high availability and t avid single pint f failure.
