Affiliate Marketing Affiliate Marketing is a service where you market somebody else s service or product and you earn commission on successful sales referred by you. There are thousands of affiliate programs and even big companies like Toyota and IBM now use this type of marketing, also known as word of mouth marketing. The best way to start is by selling Get rich on the Internet ebooks. As I already mentioned, there are millions of people seeking the gold mine and they buy the one ebook
after the other and hardly ever achieve success. Thus they will keep on buying all these ebooks which make them excellent customers when you are selling the ebooks. Until one day, after they bought hundreds of ebooks and finally realise that they have to implement all the knowledge they gained. Then they will continue buying ebooks because the people selling the ebooks become their competitors and they have to see what their competitors comes up with. So selling How to make money ebooks will always be a good seller. The easiest way to get started on Affiliate Marketing is to open a Clickbank account. Clickbank is the best known affiliate market place for electronic products like ebooks and software. Once you registered you will find a lot of ebooks and software you can market (more than 10,000 of them) and you can pick and choose which ones you like most. To get a free Clickbank account, see http://www.in2im.com/clickbank Once you registered you can log into your account, go to the marketplace and obtain a special link which you will use to market the product. In the marketplace you will even be able to search for the most popular topics, thus not waste time marketing goods that are not in demand. When you look for a product to sell in Clickbank you must look for popular topics and then also pay special attention to the Gravity figure. The gravity is a score they assign to the product indicating how many affiliates successfully sold the product by means of referrals. Clickbank s definition for the Gravity figure is: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by referring a paying customer to the publisher's products. This is a weighted sum and not an actual total. For each affiliate paid in the last 8 weeks we add an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent the last referral, the higher the value added. You can then email that link to your potential clients, put it on your website or advertise it on Google Adwords. Other Affiliate Programs You can sell just about any product or service by means of affiliate marketing. If your neighbour runs his own gardening service and pays you R20.00 for each client you refer to him, that is exactly the same as affiliate marketing. If you want to market other services via affiliate marketing there are some affiliate houses where you can market services like short term insurance, broadband connections, music, mortgages, etc via affiliate marketing. My most successful campaigns are Outsurance and Credit Health. I still find Offerforge the most supportive and clued up of them all. Earningsonline takes about two weeks to answer an email. I prefer to select products to market from within the client lists of these affiliate houses. They are trustworthy and professional. Anybody can buy the affiliate software online and run their own little affiliate program. I have burnt my fingers too many times with the wrong companies who never pay their affiliates. I prefer to stick to the big boys. It is of course up to you, if you know of a reputable company having their own affiliate program you can go with them, no problem. https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ Tip: I found that marketing services like insurance, mortgage brokers, credit checks, etc found at the affiliate houses above work better using banner ads than marketing self-help ebooks via banner ads. I use some of my websites like http://www.digiprop.co.za and http://www.photosa.co.za to market these products. While I mention banner ads. PLEASE, I have seen it so many times - DO NOT create a website that consists ONLY of a bunch of banners! You will be wasting your time. If you do that you make yourself guilty of building a crappy website. Even on websites like http://www.digiprop.co.za banner ads only have a 0.5% to 1% click through rate. Banners are probably the worst way of advertising. You must add useful content to your website and then add the banners as an addition to your website only. It works this way: The visitor is looking for something specific. He finds your website, he reads your useful content, he finds what he was looking for and is now looking for the next information. He now clicks the banner he sees on the page, he tells his friends of the great website where he found the information they were looking for, they also visit your site. Advertise In order to make some sales people must know about the web site. You can advertise in various ways. The quickest and easiest way is to add a small ad to your email, blog or forum signature.
