Company Policy Responsibilities GENERAL FUNCTION Under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Curriculum, assist in the planning and oversight of the curriculum and assessment activities of the College of Medicine of the California University of Science and Medicine (CalMed-SOM), ensuring that these activities meet CalMed s vision, mission, goals, objectives, and core values. Assist in the design and implementation of CalMed-SOM s innovative academic curriculum, and the integrative course design as implemented by CalMed-SOM s scheduling strategy. Assist the Chair of the Department of Medical Education, by working directly under the Assistant Dean of Curriculum to perform functions that are related to the fulfilment of the required material for CalMed-SOM s accreditation process with BPPE, WASC, and LCME (Liaison Committee on Medical Education). The Academic Administrative Assistant, working closely with the Assistant Dean of Curriculum, will assist with the CalMed-SOM s initial and ongoing curriculum development. Identify and implement an appropriate technology platform to support curriculum management and evaluation, and documentation of student performance. Work with senior administrative staff from the Office of Medical Education on annual revisions to the CalMed-SOM s Catalog, Student Handbook and other internal and external education-related documents.
