2.0 THE COMPANY Hitech Electrical Automation was established in January 2001. We are an electrical engineering and contracting company involved in the total electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of industrial and commercial electrical and control installations. We are members of the Electrical Contractors Association QLD, an accredited member of the Master Electricians Australia and a member of the ECS s SafetyConnect program which is an audited Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management program. 3.0 ELECTRICAL PROJECT DESIGN & MANAGEMENT The following tasks and responsibilities are considered in project design and management 3.1 Define Requirements Define the responsibilities for the project members Determine the materials, equipment and labour skills required Evaluate the existing engineering data and other available information that can be utilised for the project Complete all investigation works relating to the site Evaluate the clients expectations regarding operational management and economic considerations of the project 3.2 Initial Design and Planning Initial design and planning concepts are developed to establish the broad parameters for the project including: Management structure and lines of authority and communication Determine scope of specifications of the works Preliminary engineering sketch plans Flow diagrams and process schedules regarding plant layout, selection of plant and general functionality Evaluation of alternative designs Review of all requirements of statutory authorities having jurisdiction over the project An overall project time line indicating the major milestones Document the proposed method and architecture of the plant operational control and maintenance Evaluate the cost effectiveness of the proposal Review all of the above with the project team in conjunction with the clients representative 3.3 Design and Documentation The approved and signed off concept is developed into a working design and documentation in accordance with the expected performance standards. Hitech carried out the entire installation, testing, verifying Australian Standards and assisted in commissioning.
