If you receive an email with EAS in the title, please open it, read it and take advantage of the support that UAB offers to all students. The University has an Early Alert System designed to identify, report, and provide support for students who are not performing at a satisfactory level in a course. This course will be participating in this Early Alert System. An Early Alert email will be sent between mid September and December to any students in this course who are not making satisfactory progress. UAB is committed to ensuring that students receive academic support and are aware of the resources available that will help assist them in successfully completing their degree program. Be sure to check your UAB email Canvas account and if you receive an email alert, and take the recommended actions. Students who successfully meet with their instructor, advisors, etc; attend all classes; study; and complete all works in a timely fashion can theoretically still acquire an A, B, or C even after having received an Early Alert. Since multiply alerts diminish optimal grade acquisition speaking directly with your instructor about grade status is important. Homework Assignments: 1.
