Taking the photo and working the event was Zack Cloyd EMT. The grand opening of the new Covington VFD Fire Station on Texas Highway 171 was held on 9/17/11. CareFlite received a warm welcome as both air and ground joined in the celebration. This new station replaced the old Covington Fire Station which burned. Atmos Energy provided a hamburger and hot dog lunch.

18 th GOLF TOURNAMENT BEST EVER AND SOLD OUT CareFlite s 18 th Golf Tournament was held on Thursday 10/6 at Tour 18 in Flower Mount. By any measure it was very successful. With temperatures in the 80 s, everyone enjoyed the day. The tournament sold out very quickly and was oversubscribed. A special thanks to our tournament sponsors shown above for their support of CareFlite. Kirt Mays who chaired the tournament for at least 10 years, passed the baton on to new co-chairs Chris and Scott. Also pictured is Laura Thompson, Membership Office Supervisor, whose office provided logistical support for the tournament.
FIRST CLASS HELD AT MABEE EMS TRAINING CENTER AT CAREFLITE Shaun White RN, LP taught the very first class in our new Mabee EMS Training Center on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. The class was held in one of two new classrooms in the facility. Below is the schedule for classes to be held in the new facility during 2012.
