OUT AND ABOUT SUPPORTING COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS Above: Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Expo on 9/10/11US Marines Staff Sgt. Jeff Wright (who was in combat in Iraq for five tours) with CareFlite Medic 902 crew members Ross Terry EMT-P, Steve Murray EMT, and Michael McDonough (EMS student). In addition to Paul Nombrana CFRN pictured above with some very interested observers, the helicopter crew consisted of Andrew Foxcroft FPC and Martin Karpowicz ATP.

Medic 706 provided standby medical services at the American Heart Association s Tarrant County Heart Walk. Pictured above are Eric Brown EMT-P and Rebecca Conner EMT. Taking the photo and working the event was Zack Cloyd EMT. The grand opening of the new Covington VFD Fire Station on Texas Highway 171 was held on 9/17/11. CareFlite received a warm welcome as both air and ground joined in the celebration. This new station replaced the old Covington Fire Station which burned. Atmos Energy provided a hamburger and hot dog lunch.

Granbury dropped in for a visit. Left: John Potter EMT-P providing standby medical care at an Eagle Scout project from Boy Scout Troop 118. This Troop is attached to the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in Richardson. It was a Kid's Fair Day being held at the Family Life Center in Richardson. Below: Attending a Health and Safety Fair at American Airlines Alliance Maintenance Facility. Two former patients were in attendance and spoke with many of the employees about CareFlite. 18 th GOLF TOURNAMENT BEST EVER AND SOLD OUT CareFlite s 18 th Golf Tournament was held on Thursday 10/6 at Tour 18 in Flower Mount. By any measure it was very successful. With temperatures in the 80 s, everyone enjoyed the day. The tournament sold out very quickly and was oversubscribed. A special thanks to our tournament sponsors shown above for their support of CareFlite. Kirt Mays who chaired the tournament for at least 10 years, passed the baton on to new co-chairs Chris and Scott. Also pictured is Laura Thompson, Membership Office Supervisor, whose office provided logistical support for the tournament.

FIRST CLASS HELD AT MABEE EMS TRAINING CENTER AT CAREFLITE Shaun White RN, LP taught the very first class in our new Mabee EMS Training Center on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. The class was held in one of two new classrooms in the facility. Below is the schedule for classes to be held in the new facility during 2012.
