With more than 130 countries represented within the student body, and 40% of their students from overseas, they are one of the most internationally-diverse universities in the UK. ( http://www.essex.ac.uk [http://www.essex.ac.uk]) Total number of students 13,500

Total percentage of international students 7 % About the city University of Bamberg: Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, Bamberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. With its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings, it is an architectural gem and represents a fascinating contrast to Birmingham and Thessaloniki. Bamberg is also ideal for student life, as it is affordable and offers an abundance of cultural events and recreational opportunities, including a lively nightlife and music scene. Aston University: Students at Aston become part of a vibrant, small and friendly community in the heart of Birmingham. It is a real student city and many restaurants, pubs, clubs, cinemas and museums offer generous student discounts. Aston is based right in the city centre, so most things are within easy walking distance. University of Macedonia: Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece, with more than one million inhabitants and more than 100,000 students. Due to its student population the city is very lively, with numerous cultural activities all year round rendering it the cultural capital of Greece. The location of the city facilitates short visits to the neighbouring countries in the Balkan region, with Sofia and Skopje a little over an hour away by car, while Istanbul and Athens can be reached in less than one hour by plane. University of Essex: Home to over 10,500 students from more than 130 countries, Colchester Campus has shops, restaurants, banks, a theatre and even a nightclub and a hairdresser on site ( http://www.essex.ac.uk [http://www.essex.ac.uk]). The historic centre of Colchester itself is only two miles away from the Campus and is the oldest recorded Roman town in Britain. After being named as one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, Colchester now has exceeded 120,000 inhabitants. Furthermore, London as well as Stansted Airport are only one hour away and the port of Harwich is just over 30 km east of Colchester.
