The owner(s) must then submit an application for registration to the CKC within thirty (30) days. Failure to comply with this ruling will automatically cancel all points on record. The Title Dual Champion Is Not Accepted Entry forms not the same size and in the same format as the official entry form enclosed will be rejected. Please use the official entry form enclosed. Cheques post-dated to closing date WILL be accepted. Any NSF cheque will be assessed a $25.00 service charge. Tendering a dishonored cheque or declined credit card in payment of an entry fee shall be considered non-payment of said fee and is an offence punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. (Chapter 8.8.2 CKC Dog Show Rules). NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT IN FULL. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ON DUPLICATE ENTRIES OR OVERPAYMENTS. The owner of the dog entered in this show is entirely responsible for any error in the entering of their dog, regardless of how, or by whom the entry was made. Withdrawal of entries prior to closing may be made by telephone, but MUST BE FOLLOWED UP IN WRITING, and be received by the Show Secretary no later than the official closing. If written, or electronic notification is not received, the dog will remain entered in the show. IN THE EVENT OF A POSTAL STRIKE: Telephone entries may be made in accordance with the CKC Dog Show Rules. Telephone: 1-877-203-0363 Collect calls will not be accepted. All phoned in entries must be signed and entry fees paid by cash, money-order or certified cheque before the dog may enter the ring. No refunds after closing date. GENERAL INFORMATION AND REGULATIONS 1. The show building will be open Thursday evening from 6PM to 10PM, and at 7AM until 11PM each day of the show. 2. All entries must be complete, including the full name & address of the owner of the dog. The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC rules. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs, regardless of how and by whom the entries were made. Changes or cancellations after closing date are prohibited except according to CKC rules. 3. An exhibitor entering puppies 3 to 6 months of age may not enter more than two of that age. 4. No refund of entry fee will be made If because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the WCKC it is impossible to open or complete the show. 5. WCKC will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors, patrons, or property. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no WCKC watchman on duty at night in the show and kennel area. 6. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by CKC Rules. 7. Dogs must be on the show grounds one hour prior to the scheduled judging of their breed. Dogs, which are not required for further judging, may be excused. Dogs must be ready for judging. The club and it s superintendent will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed and class judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class or group. Owners or agents are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. The starting time for each ring will be specified in the Judging Schedule. ONLY DOGS ENTRED IN THE SHOW ARE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. 8. WCKC is not responsible for contracts made with the show photographer. 9. PLEASE NOTE: You are responsible for cleaning up if your dog relieves itself. DOGS MUST BE EXER- CISED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Persons exercising dogs outside of the designated area who make no effort to clean up may be disqualified from that day s show. NO PRIVATE EX PENS WILL BE AL- LOWED WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT. 10. All dogs classed as In Transit must be identified to the Show Secretary before the start of the first show. THE KEYSTONE CENTRE IS A NON SMOKING FACILITY PLEASE ABIDE BY THIS PROVINCIAL LAW. There are smoking areas outside the building. CKC RULES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2009 8.2.5 An error in the age specified class, date of birth or sex of the dog may be amended on the entry form up to ONE hour before to the start of the show. 8.5.8 In case of a judge change (substitute or overload) an exhibitor may enter a dog under the replacement judge providing that the dog is entered in one of the regular classes of a show being held at the same venue by the same club and has been assigned a competition number. A new entry, along with accompanying fees will be accepted by the Show Secretary up to ONE hour PRIOR to the start of the show (see section 3.3.1, 3.5.1,8.5.4) 8.9.3 When one or more all-breed and /or Specialty shows are held on the same day, in the same venue, the request for moving of class dogs to specials MUST be made a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start of the show for which the dog is being moved up to. 12.3.f A puppy awarded Best Puppy In Breed is NOT required to compete for Best Puppy in Group. ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS: ERN Numbers must be applied for within 30 days of the first day of entering a CKC Event. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS & CANCELLATIONS SECTION 15.1.1 A dog awarded WINNERS at a CONFORMATION show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION 15.1.2 The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: DOGS COMPETING* 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 or more POINTS AWARDED 0 1 2 3 4 5 *includes the dog awarded WINNERS In counting the number eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall be included in the calculation for championship points. See Sections 15.1.3 to 15.1.7 of the CKC Rules and Regulations for Championship Points. SECTION 15.1.10 A breed or class shall not be allowed more than 2 sets of championship points per sex on any day in the same venue. SECTION 15.1.11 A dog awarded Winners which also places Best In Show at an all-breed conformation show shall be credited with 5 championship points inclusive of any points earned at the breed and group level. SECTION 15.1.12 In or for a dog to be recognized as a Champion, and its owner provided with a Championship Certificate, a dog must: (a) earned 10 championship points under at least 3 different judges; and (b) be registered in the records of the CKC, have an ERN or MCN (c) have earned a least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. SECTION 19.7 It shall be the duty and obligation of the show-giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event held under these rules is not subject to indignities. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit onreceipt of a report indication that this has occurred. A copy of this regulation shall be prominently placed in every premium list and catalogue. ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you pay by credit card, bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
