B. Confucious Institute in Seoul (www.cis.or.kr,+82-2-554-2688) In the case the certificate is issued in China, it must get confirmation from Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China 1-3:It takes about 30 days In the case of countries does the Apostille, you should issue an apostille. http://www.hcch.net 10 Copy of ID card (of appicants and their parents) 11 Certificate of kinship relations 12 13 14 Certificate of Enployment of parents (including salary) If you have a referee in Korea, A copy of referee's identification is required 1) Reference of residents in Korea(Form 4) A copy of the certificate of resident registration. 2) A certificate showing a bank balance of the referee (over $5,000 for 6 months, Mongolia-over $7,000 for one month) If you have no referee in Korea, A certificate showing a bank balance under the name of the applicants or parents (over $5,000 for 6 months, Mongoliaover $7,000 for one month) Copy of Hokubu (applicants and their parents) (only for Chinese) (should be notarized in English) Signature of applicants and their referees is required on the respective documents.
Depending on the nationality and qualifications of applicants, it's possible to change the number of related documents for admission and issuing a visa. Referees are strictly limited to Koreans or aliens with Korean citizenship. In case of another party's paying tuition for the applicant, applicants should call the International Affairs to confirm payment. Applicants who submitted the certificate of enrollment should submit the Diploma of graduation additionally. C. Selection Criteria(Screening documents and interview) 1. Applicants who pass the document review 2. Applicants who have a clear purpose of studying Korean language 3. Applicants who have no problems with respect to entry and issuing a visa 4. Applicants who have enough financial capability to support the expenses of overseas study. 5. Applicants who are judged to have academic capabilities. D. Tuition 1. E. Announcement 1. According to the regulations of the immigration office of the Ministry of Justice, applicants with an acceptance letter are not accepted in case of failing to get an authorized visa number. 2. According to the regulations of the immigration office of the Ministry of Justice, the admission acceptance of applicants can be cancelled when visa isn't issued or approved for being changed from another status. 3. If applicants don't pay tuition within the designated period, applicants' acceptance can be cancelled. 4. If applicants don't pay registration fee within the designated period, the application won't be accepted. 5. If it's confirmed that all submitted documents contain false information or are forged, applicants can face serious consequences during document review stage, and the acceptance can be cancelled. 6. Submitted documents and registration fee cannot be returned. 7. If applicants have to cancel the entrance due to fail to receive visa or personal reasons before semester begins, application for refund and copy of bank account should be submitted to get refund. In this case, applicants have to pay for overseas remittance charge. 8. In case of cancel the entrance due to personal reasons after semester begins, tuition will be refunded according to the refund regulations of Korean Language School, International Affairs. 9. After entrance, it's obligatory to follow all guidelines set up by the Korean Language School of the International Affairs while taking the language training. If not, students can get a warning and be expelled.
10. Living in a dormitory is mandatory(except for those who live with their referees in Korea), and students should follow all the guidelines set up by dormitory. 11. If students are not able to stay in dormitory, students must have an approval of dean of International Affair to live outside of the campus. F. Issuing visa Residents overseas have to apply for a D-4 visa at their local Korean embassy or consulate in person. 1. Chinese students : visit the Korean consulate or embassy near their residential area - required documents: Authorized visa number that informed by Sunchon National University (approved by immigration office), passport, photo * 1, application form for visa, and a copy of identification or Hokubu 2. Other nations : visit the Korean consulate or embassy near their residential area - required documents: Documents issued by Sunchon National University (certificate of entrance, certificate of admission, invitation letter, certificate for business registration) G. Korean Language Training Course schedule 1. Schedule Semester Period Week Total class hour March. 7, 2016(Mon) ~ July, 22, 2016 (Fri) 20 weeks 400 hours 2. Class Hour One semester : 4 hours per day / 5 days per week(mon.~fri.) (Detailed class schedule will be released during the entrance ceremony.) 3. The number of students : 15 students in a class (this number subject to change based on the number of enrolled students.) Dividing into classes after initial placement test on the date of entrance ceremony. 4. Evaluation and Completion of course Grade evaluation : Regular test (Midterm / Final / Quiz / Attendance) Completion of Course : Those who complete eight-tenths of 400 class hours(each semester) and passed the level tests.
Certificate of Education : Those who finish the semester but cannot meet the requirements for completion of course 5.
