MicroFIT Connection Application Guidelines These guidelines serve to ensure the efficient processing and implementation of your project. Please read and follow them carefully and completely in order to avoid delays in your application process. 1. Documents Required for Processing Offer to Connect (OTC) In the case where the supplier name and the Toronto Hydro customer name for the existing service are different, a signed agreement that authorizes the supplier to have access to the roof top for the PV installation is required. 2. Payment (Non-Refundable) The cost for processing the MicroFIT Connection Application, and performing a preliminary capacity assessment, is $500 plus HST. Please make your cheque payable to Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited. Official invoice(s) stamped PAID will be sent to you for your records. 3. Submission of Payment & Documents All required documents, as outlined in the Connection Application Checklist below (with the exception of 1.7) will be submitted directly to: 5800 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2M 3T3. Attn: Eleanor So, Ellipse Accounts Receivable There are two options for submission of payment and documents: 1. By mail to Accounts Receivable Department at 5800 Yonge Street (as shown above). 2. Drop box located outside the building at 5800 Yonge Street. NOTE: Security and AR staff cannot accept the payments due to security reasons. Please submit via either option #1 or option#2, as listed above. 4. ESA Notice of Inspection (1.7) A scanned copy of the ESA notice of inspection shall be emailed to the Generation Planning section (fit@torontohydro.com) as soon as the final ESA inspection is completed. Please specify in the email subject line: ESA Notice of inspection, project address and FIT ID number. 5. MicroFIT Connection Application Checklist. Connection Application Checklist 1.1 Completed Connection Application Form signed by legal OPA applicant. 1.2 Single Line Diagram showing proposed service, and including all required information. 1.3 Inverter Manufacturer information (Must be CSA 22.2 #107.1 Certified.) 1.4 Copy of Lease agreement between Developer and Landlord (if applicable) 1.5 Payment fee payable to. 1.6 Send payment and all required documents as mentioned in Guideline 3. 1.7 ESA Notice of Inspection after project has had the final ESA inspection completed. 1

Single Line Diagram (SLD) Requirements: A Single Line Diagram (SLD) must be provided that shows the project proposal from the generator / PV array to the connection point to Toronto Hydro s distribution system. This diagram will include, in detail, all electrical components required to complete the installation. Such components to include (but not be limited to); generator equipment (including the number of PV panels, inverters, and their ratings), disconnect switches, meter base sockets, splitter troughs, phase loss protection, transformers, cables, protective relays / devices, metering, synchronizing etc. The Single-Line diagram requires a title block to indicate the following; OPA MicroFIT Reference Number (7-digit form: FIT-MXXXXXX) Location s Address Output Voltage and phase to the distribution system Solar Array Rating (kw) Inverter Rating (kw) Nameplate Capacity (kw) Note (1) : Single-phase inverters on a three-phase service will not be permitted. Only three-phase inverters on three-phase services will be accepted. Note (2) : If the project includes upgrades to existing EG facilities, show the existing and new electrical equipment. Be sure that the diagram is complete, and has the proper information in the title block for each location. This is required in order to have your connection request processed. This document, which is to be signed by the legal OPA applicant, must be scanned and emailed to fit@torontohydro.com within 7 business days. Only once this document is received will Toronto Hydro issue the scope package to have the meter locate/ site visit scheduled. 5
