The entry level fire training curriculum is comprised of a series of four (4) modularized programs. Each program is designed around a specific set of fireground activities, which affords students the flexibility of taking training specifically geared to their level of activity and participation within their current organization. This series of modularized programs, which utilizes standardized lesson plans, comprises a total of 166 hours of training and is based off the NFPA 1001 standards for Fire Fighter I and II. This series of programs has replaced the HACC Fire Operations Modules A-D programs. Students who have previously completed part of the Fire Operations Module program, but have not completed the entire series will have the option of transitioning into the new series of programs. Individuals who have yet to start basic fire training will begin with the new modularized curriculum. 4 Students interested in transitioning into the new curriculum from the HACC Fire Operations Module Series should reference the following information: Students who have completed HACC Fire Operations Modules A should enroll in Fireground Support Students who have completed HACC Fire Operations Module B should enroll in Exterior Firefighter Students who have completed HACC Fire Operations Module C should enroll in Interior Firefighter Additional information regarding the curriculum is available on the following pages. Individuals with questions regarding the new curriculum are urged to contact your County Fire Training Coordinators, the HACC Public Safety Center or the State Fire Academy for additional information.
