Journalism and Information University of Applied Sciences (AJV, Tilburg), specialisation Written Press. The committee charged with conducting the final examination awarded the predicate good. The thesis, dedicated to the press in the new South Africa, was graded with a 9 on a scale of 10. 1998 University, political science. University of Amsterdam, specialisation International Relations. The Board of Examiners awarded the predicate cum laude. The thesis, dedicated to the EU s foreign policy regarding the Lomé Convention, was graded with a 9 on a scale of 10.. 1999-2000 Methodology at the Netherlands Institute Government (NIG), a program devoted to subjects such as causality, selection of observations and pitfalls in research design. Public Administration Skills at the NIG, a program focused on case studies and presenting research. The specialisation course dealt with European governance from a law, economics and political science perspective. 2005-2007 Initiator, developer and executor of a debating project at The Hague University, which consisted of an annual three-day open debate series with leading politicians, academics and representatives of civil society. It also included a regular course for students from four different educational programs. Central were topical and socially relevant subjects: the multicultural society (2005), the power of the media (2006), the power of the market (2007). The both in terms of content and organisation wideranging project was presented in the Annual Report 2005 of The Hague University as a milestone. 2006 Co-organiser of an election debate in The Hague with Dutch ICT think tank EPN. 2007-2008 Coordinator of the English program International Public Management at The Hague University. 2007-2008 Secretary of the Public Administration, Law and Safety Academy Council of The Hague University. 2007-2008 Member of the Curriculum Committee of the Public Management program, which advises management and staff. 2008 Guest lecturer European Union Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of Leiden University. 2008 Moderator and guest lecturer HRM Congress Microcredit Women and Work (The Hague University). 2008- University researcher at the Documentation Centre Dutch Political Parties (DNPP) of the University of Groningen.
