These instructions show a picture at each click in the installation process. Before you begin, please make sure you have the following: Your Remote Backup Username Your Remote Backup Password 1. Download and Install the Backup Software a. The Backup system uses a program called Ahsay to encrypt and maintain your backups. Download the software with this link: http://ariel.smartgate.com/obs/download/acb-win.exe b. When prompted, click Run: c. Installing Remote Backup (Ahsay) Software d. Now you have the option to select which files and folders you want to backup: e. In most cases you will make sure there My Documents is checked. If you also want to backup your favorites, Outlook, Outlook Express, or your Desktop files, check those. When you are finished selecting, click Next: f. Select when the backup should run. In most cases the backup should run at night when you are not using your computer. You should receive a confirmation that the settings were saved successfully, click OK: j. You may close the Ahsay backup software using the red X in the upper-right corner: 3. You re Done! a. The backup log and status report will be emailed to you automatically. If you d prefer to check it manually, just start the backup software (Ahsay A-Click Backup > AhsayACB) by clicking on your Start button. b. Yes, if you used the recommend setting to backup My Documents (see step 2e) then all new files that are saved to the My Documents folder will automatically be included in the backup. So just make sure to save your files to the My Documents folder and they will be backed up on schedule. Q. How do I know if my backup is working? A. The backup log and status report will be emailed to you automatically. If you d prefer to check it manually, just start the backup software (Ahsay A-Click Backup > AhsayACB) by clicking on your Start button. Then click the Backup Log button as shown below: Q. I want to change my backup schedule, how do I do that? A. Start the backup software (Ahsay A-Click Backup > AhsayACB) and then click on the calendar button as shown below: Q.
