Frequently Asked Questions How can I improve my chances of gaining admission into the PN program? Study! Prepare for the HESI A2 Admission Assessment Exam because this is the best way to increase the number of admissions points. Is there a waiting list? No The PN program is a selective program with an objective, competitive admissions process. Each year, 56 applicants are accepted based on a point system to begin in the fall semester. The Illinois Community College Board requires all in-district applicants be considered first. Can I work during school? Because of the rigorous coursework, students are advised NOT to work full time. What courses should I take to prepare for the PN program? Recommended but not required- any developmental coursework based on placement testing, AHE 041, AHE 055, BIO 100 to prepare for the HESI A2 Admission Assessment Exam.
