The majority of broadband providers supply their services across a shared network for the wider community. This means that the more people they supply to the more demand will bring down the overall speed of the service at various times. Vis Case Study: Kings Chelsea Development SW10 This former Kings College facility set on 7.5 acres of parkland is a mixture of new build and Grade II listed buildings. The development is comprised of 267 apartments and 22 houses. It is an exclusive gated community with a 24-hour concierge, underground parking, swimming pool and leisure facilities. Vision Fibre Media won the exclusive contract to build and install a custom designed fibre optic network within the Kings Chelsea Development. This was a particularly challenging installation due to the Grade II listed nature of much of the development. The integrity of the buildings had to be in keeping with their protected nature. Having built the infrastructure we now supply 50Mb, 100Mb and 1Gb broadband packages along with Digital TV and Telephony services to the residents of Kings Chelsea and service and maintain the network infrastructure. Case Study: The Barbican Estate EC2Y Built during the 1960 s and 70 s The Barbican Estate is a prominent example of British brutalist architecture and for the most part is Grade II listed. The site is comprised of 3 large residential towers and 13 terrace blocks, two mews and The Postern and Wallside. The estate consists of over 2,000 homes and is by far the largest fibre optic network project Vision Fibre Media have undertaken. Working with the City of London Vision Fibre Media agreed to fund and deliver an ultra-fast fibre optic network within The Barbican.
