4 Overview Overview The MyABEL Customer Portal provides you access to a variety of resources which will enhance your use of your ABEL products. Your team can access a library of tutorials for self paced learning, download enhancements and new forms to your ABEL software, obtain the latest billing service codes and fee updates, search for knowledge base articles and download User Guides along with other product documentation. Accessing the MyABEL Portal 1 Open your browser and type the following address: http://myabel.abelsoft.com The Welcome to MyABEL Customer Portal appears. June 1, 2012
MyABEL Customer Portal 5 Create a New Account 1 Click Register on the Welcome page. The Create a New Account page appears. 2 Type a User Name that you can easily remember. 3 Enter the Email address you would like ABELSoft to use to send you product news and updates. 4 Type a password that is at least 6 characters long. 5 Retype the password in the Confirm password field. 6 Click Register. 6 Validate your Account Validate your Account To verify that you are a customer, you will need to enter the Client ID that was given to you by ABEL To Validate your Account: 1 Click the Validate my Account link at the bottom of the Welcome to MyABEL Customer Portal page. The Account Validation page appears. 2 Type your First and Last Name. 3 Enter the Client ID number given to you by ABEL. The Client ID starts with a letter and is followed by a zero, e.g. C0XXXXX, 4 Type your ZIP/Postal Code. This should match the ZIP Postal Code you provided at the time of your license purchase. 5 Click Validate My Account. A message appears stating, ʺYour account has been validatedʺ June 1, 2012
MyABEL Customer Portal 7 Viewing your Account Profile You can use the Profile link to view information about your MyABEL account such as your username and customer ID. In addition, a list of the ABEL products for which your practice is licensed and the corresponding maintenance information is also shown. To View your Account Profile: 1 Click the Profile link in the upper right corner of the page. The Account Information page appears. Getting Started Guide
8 Viewing ABEL Medical Resource Information Account Information: Displays your MyABEL username and Customer ID, along with the name and address of your practice. License Information: Lists each of your product licenses and the corresponding maintenance type and expiry date. 2 Click the Home tab in the upper left corner to return to the homepage. Viewing ABEL Medical Resource Information You can use MyABEL to access the following resources which will enhance the use of your ABEL products: To View: 1 On the homepage, click the Medical tab. MyABEL Customer Portal 9 The Medical page contains the following links: Documentation Resources: Access User Guides, Change Notes, System Requirements and Conventions. Professional Support & Service: A description of the support and services offered by ABEL. Knowledge Base: View tips and knowledge base articles that provide helpful information and tips on using the features of ABELMed. Software License Ownership Transfer: View and download the ABEL Software License Transfer Agreement Online Tutorials: Access a wide variety of training courses designed to assist your staff in learning how to use ABELMed. Software Downloads: Get the latest updates, addons and documentation for your ABELMed system ABELOCFSync Updates: Download the latest version of ABEL OCFSync (an integrated application for creating and transmitting OCF plans and invoices to the HCAI (Health Claims for Auto Insurance) system. 10 Changing your Password Changing your Password For security purposes, you should change your password on a regular basis. To Change your Password: 1 On the Homepage, click the Profile link in the upper right corner of the page. The Account Information page appears. 2 Click Change Password in the Links menu. 1 Type your Current password. 2 Type your New password. 3 Type your new password again in the Confirm new password field. 4 Click Change Password.
