POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT pgpem 2016-2018 Two Year Weekend Residential Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise From experience to expertise UNWIND. LEARN.
When the appetite mind is at peace, the to learn is immense. There s no good or bad time to learn. Just like there is no good or bad time to relax. Why should weekends be any different? When you aspire for more than the ordinary, learning more shouldn t be a stretch. IIMB has the ambience and faculty to make this stretch delightful. One visit to the pristine confines of IIMB and you ll be convinced that it s just the right place to be at peace and an even greater place to learn. IIMB s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise (PGPEM) is a two year diploma programme delivered over weekends equivalent to IIMB s one-year full-time programme in terms of credits, but does not require you to quit your job to enhance your managerial qualifications. Its innovative design and schedule not only allows you to continue to work as you upgrade your knowledge but also lets you balance personal and family commitments. This is tailored for you to learn multi-dimensional skills (Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Operations, Strategy, Economics & Social Science and International Business) and helps you make strong progress in your career. You walk in on a Friday evening, learn till the sun goes down, stay back at the campus, wake up to learn again all day on Saturday and still have the Sunday all for yourself. It s as simple as that. Sunday off gives work-life balance Paving the way for rapid career growth
Experienced and senior management peer groups Message from the Chairperson The Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise (PGPEM) was re-structured two years ago based on feedback from industry representatives, alumni, and current and prospective students. It was again tweaked last year to schedule the classes to make it convenient for a larger pool of professionals to join the program. Going by the response it has received from students admitted last year, the program has hit the sweet spot that balances the professional, family and educational needs of the students. I believe that it is the most rigorous, yet convenient, masters level programme in management available to working professionals in India. Why IIMB? Doing a premium management programme without having to leave the job IIMB s intellectually stimulating environment and state of the art infrastructure is the perfect setting for the PGPEM 2016. The vast green spaces and tranquility of the campus with wellequipped classrooms and other facilities is sure to make your learning experience unique, fulfilling and memorable. IIMB has a tradition of strong academic programmes that challenges participants to explore real world management scenarios through interactive classroom based lectures and discussions. Case studies help to firm up your theoretical construct. The PGPEM is a 22-month diploma-granting week-end residential programme that is designed for working professionals who can travel to the IIMB campus on Friday and Saturdays. It is intended to meet the needs of a person who is largely happy with his current firm and/or industry of employment, but aspires for growth up the managerial ladder. It does not require candidates to quit their job as they enhance their business knowledge and skills. I have no hesitation in recommending the PGPEM to you as one of the best options to help ambitious professionals transition from a functional role to a managerial role as you accelerate your career progression. It will help you transform your experience to expertise to become a more compete professional. Abhoy K Ojha Chairperson, PGPEM The Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise (PGPEM) is designed around the delivery of knowledge using participant-centric methods where students are encouraged to question the usual management models and ways of thinking and to widen their perspectives by getting new insights. This creates the atmosphere for the participants to rediscover their own capabilities and gives them the skill to reflect on some of the challenges in their own work place. IIMB brings together diverse students and faculty from across the world. Participants learn from world-class faculty and at the same time strengthen their network through collaboration with peers. Designed for working mid-career and senior executives, PGPEM is tailored to integrate corporate experience with classroom learning. They also get to interact with participants from different countries who come to IIMB on exchange programmes or when they themselves go on exchange programmes to partner universities or join in country specific immersion programmes in other parts of the world. As a result, participants benefit from discussing strategic issues with peers from regions at different stages of economic growth.
