Task Sheet This tool allows you, our business partner, to generate a quick setup file (QSF). You can use this file to create a copy of a Millennium database that your client can download. Your client can then install a complete Millennium 3 database for their use. IMPORTANT Please read this entire document before proceeding. It is important to read and understand all the sections before you use this tool. Throughout this document, assume nnn and NNN represent your organization s designator. Logging Into Hosted Millennium This section explains how to log into the Hosted Millennium web portal, create a QSF file, and then copy the file to your local computer for distribution to your end client. Perform the following steps: 1. In your web browser, go to https://hosted.mpay.com. The site displays the following screen: Figure 1: Hosted Millennium login page M3-QSFCreator-TS-BP-462-01 1
2. Enter the username and password that were provided to you to enter the web portal. This web portal requires a browser plug-in from Citrix Systems, Inc. If this is your first time logging into this web portal (or your computer does not have the Citrix plug-in), you will see the following page: Figure 2: Download Client page In addition, if you are using Internet Explorer, you will see this alert above the page: Figure 3: Add-on message If you are using Internet Explorer, you can click on the alert message. If not, you can install the plug-in using the following steps: a. Click the Download button, which redirects you to the Citrix website. b. In the Search Downloads by Product drop-down list, select XenApp. c. In the Clients and Plug-ins section, click Online Plug-in for Windows 12.1. d. Click the Download button and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the Citrix online plug-in for Windows. e. When the plug-in installation process has finished, the system displays a dialog that states Installation completed successfully. f. Click the OK button to continue. 3. When you have the Citrix plug-in, the site displays the Applications page, as shown in Figure 4: 2 Millennium Task Sheet
Release 3.29 Figure 4: Applications page As shown in Figure 4, your list of applications include: The tool, represented by the QSF Creator - SB107 - nnn icon Your files folder, represented by the BPO nnn Files folder icon Using the QSF Creator Tool After you have entered the Hosted Millennium portal, you can use the QSF Creator tool. The QSF file it produces is what Millennium 3 uses to create your end client s database, where a local copy of your end client s data is stored. Perform the following steps: 1. Click the QSF Creator - SB107 - nnn icon (see Figure 4). The application will take a few moments to start. During that time, the site displays a progress bar, as shown in Figure 5: Figure 5: Launching progress bar 2. Once your computer launches the program, it displays the Millennium 3 login dialog, as shown in Figure 6: M3-QSFCreator-TS-BP-462-01 3
Figure 6: Millennium Log In dialog 3. Enter your Millennium username and password and click the OK button. The system displays the QSF Creator tool dialog, as shown in Figure 7: Figure 7: QSF Creator tool dialog Explanations of the fields and controls are as follows: Select Company to add to list Use the drop-down list to select a company; then, use the Add to list button to include the company in the Company(s) to include in QSF field. The drop-down list displays your organization s companies. Depending on how many you work with, it may take several seconds to populate. 4 Millennium Task Sheet
Release 3.29 Click on a company name to select (highlight) it. When you click the Add to list button, the tool adds the company name to the list of companies that will be included in the QSF file. You can select as many companies to the QSF as you like. Keep in mind that the more you add, the longer it takes the tool to produce the QSF. Company(s) to include in QSF QSF Site description QSF Filename This text area contains the list of every company you chose in the Select Company to add to list field. To remove a company from the list, right-click on its name. The tool displays a pop-up menu; select the Remove option. That company will no longer be contained in your QSF file. Enter a concise but meaningful description of the end client in this freeform field. You are limited to 30 characters, including spaces. This description is visible to MPAY Services only when the end client performs a Backup/Sync with MPAY Services. Please do not be too cryptic. Enter the name of the QSF file you are going to create, including the.qsf extension. For example: MyCustomer123.QSF 4. When you have filled in all of the fields above, click the Generate QSF button to create your QSF. A status field below the Generate QSF button displays what section of the database is currently being processed. Note The QSF creation process can take several minutes per company code. The tool creates log files in your BPO folder. The log files record the activity of the QSF creation process. One log file is created for each day the utility is used. When the QSF Creator is done and your file is ready, it displays the following message: Figure 8: File generation completion message M3-QSFCreator-TS-BP-462-01 5
5. Click the OK button. You can create another QSF file, or you can close the utility. Working With Your QSF File Now that you have created your QSF file, you should copy it to your local hard drive. You can then copy or move the file to a network location from which your end client can access it. QSF files are relatively large files, from as small at 15MB (megabytes) up to several hundred MB. Their size depends on: The number of companies they contain The amount of data contained in each company Your BPO nnn Files folder on the Hosted Millennium web portal has been designed for short-term file storage associated with creation and transfer of QSF files. Your files folder is not intended as a long-term file storage area. Your organization is responsible for deleting old files from their folder once the transfer is complete. Note MPAY may, at its discretion, delete old or inactive files from the BPO nnn Files folder. To work with the QSF files you have generated, perform the following steps: 1. Go to your Hosted Millennium web portal (see Figure 4 on page 3). 2. Click the BPO nnn Files folder icon. This is the application you use to move or copy a QSF file from the web portal to your computer. The system displays the files in a new window, as shown in Figure 9: 6 Millennium Task Sheet
Release 3.29 Figure 9: Result of opening the Files folder The files folder window is separated into left and right panes: The left pane lists the locations between which you can copy and move files. The folder NNN shown in Figure 9 represents your BPO nnn Files folder on the web portal (see Figure 4 on page 3). The shared drive letters represent the local hard drives of your computer. For example: C$ (\\Client) (V:) In Figure 9, the computer has a C: drive (C$) and an E: drive (E$). The right pane contains a list of files in the selected drive letter or folder. In Figure 9, the NNN folder is highlighted (selected), so the right pane shows the five files contained in that folder. 3. In the NNN folder, highlight the file you want to move to your computer. Use the standard Windows conventions to select one or more files: [Shift]+click to select a group of consecutive files [Ctrl]+click to select individual files 4. Move the selected file(s) to one of the drives on your local computer. Use the standard Windows conventions to move files between folders and drive letters: Drag and drop Cut and paste Right-click and Send to The system displays a progress indicator while your file is being moved or copied. When the move or copy is complete, the progress bar will disappear. 5. Close the files folder window when your transfer is complete. M3-QSFCreator-TS-BP-462-01 7
After Running the Tool When you are finished using the Hosted Millennium web portal, you must log off the system. The Log Off link is in the upper-right corner of the web portal (see Figure 4 on page 3). Additional Information Concerning the log files in your BPO nnn Files folder: You can double-click any log file to open it and view the contents. Log files will open in Notepad. You can print or save the activity, if desired. The user name and password you use to access the Hosted Millennium web portal should not be shared outside of your organization. Security functions of the web portal are designed to enforce the following user name and password rules: Your password must contain numbers and letters. The password expires every 90 days. A message will be displayed up to two weeks before your password expires, giving you the opportunity to change it. If you do not change your password within the warning period, your password expires. If it expires, you will not be able to log in until you contact a member of your service team and request to have your password reset. Password resets are typically completed the same day you contact your service team. If you forget your password, you can contact a member of your service team and request to have your password reset. If you are unsure of your password and have made five unsuccessful attempts to log in, your username is automatically locked. If you are locked out, you will not be able to log in until you contact a member of your service team and request to have your username unlocked and password reset. If one of your employees has been terminated, you should contact a member of your service team and request your password be changed. 8 Millennium Task Sheet
