Daybreak serves youth and young adults in crisis through emergency shelter, transitional housing, street outreach, and employment services. Daybreak is the region s only housing program designed to move homeless youth ages 18 to 24 out of homelessness, poverty, under-education, and crisis and into housing, financial independence, educational achievement, and self-sufficiency. 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Youth may reach Daybreak via the 24-hour crisis hotline. 1.1 Child and Adolescent

Emergency Shelter any troubled, at-risk or homeless youth between the ages of 10 and 19 are eligible to stay in the emergency shelter unless they have a known history of repeated or extreme violence or sexual offenses. Street Outreach any troubled, at-risk or homeless youth up to age 24 may visit the Street Outreach Center for food, necessities and assistance in finding a safe play to live. Transitional Housing Must be referred by the Daybreak s emergency shelter, street outreach program, or another Montgomery County approved emergency shelter. Day-Mont Behavioral Health Care, Inc. Students attending the Webster Street Academy remain actively enrolled in their current school, are generally able to participate in after school functions, and are awarded credit for the completion of academic work with the ultimate goal being the student's successful re-integration to their home school. The program addresses dependency, abuse, and neglect issues; delinquent and unruly behaviors; and mental health issues. include: counseling, anger management, specialized diagnostic assessments, and case management. 1.3 Child and Adolescent

24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Youth ages ten and younger who have been referred to Juvenile Court for allegedly being unruly or having committed serious felony offenses are eligible to participate. Youth without charges (walk-ins) can also be served by the program. Moses Blvd. Dayton, OH 45417-1424 (937) 224-4646 Website>> www.sbhihelp.org Emergency intervention and assessment services include: 24-hour suicide prevention and crisis counseling telephone hotline, 24-hour supportive telephone counseling service, evaluation of crisis needs, emergency walk-in care, prehospital screening, crisis counseling, emergency psychiatric care/medication, alcohol/drug assessments, Severely Mentally Disabled (SMD) assessments, care coordination, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for opioid addiction. 2.1 Crisis Intervention

24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Often, access for Severe Mental Health and Alcohol/Drug Diagnostic Assessments is available Monday through Friday. CrisisCare provides services to any adult or youth in Montgomery County who needs crisis services or evaluation for hospitalization. 2.2 Crisis Intervention

ACT is for individuals who have the most serious symptoms of severe mental illness/ substance abuse and who, consequently, have the greatest difficulty with basic daily activities. CAMI: Chemically Addicted Mental Illness services. The care is 16 to 18 weeks with weekly follow up sessions designed to provide long term recovery support. The interventions outlined in the treatment plan are oriented towards recover, abstinence, maintenance, and stabilization. Persons receive individual and group counseling related to substance abuse and mental illness, in addition to receiving Med somatic (psychiatric medication) services from a physician, if needed. Community psychiatric support treatment, individual and group therapy, substance abuse services, primary care, and on-site pharmacy. Call for information. Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) for adults battling both a severe and persistent mental illness and a significant issue with alcohol and/or drugs. Adults with no way to pay for services must be Montgomery County residents. Adults with Medicaid do not need to be Montgomery County residents. Examples are bipolar disorder and alcohol abuse, or major depression and marijuana dependency. The purpose of the program is to address both components at the same time. Call for information. Multiple therapeutic interventions that promote mental health stabilization and support for their substance use disorders, and development of harm reduction skills. Individuals are involved in a minimum of 30 hours of services, including psychiatric services, individual and group counseling. The individual is also involved in social activities to help foster a development of leisure skills that do not involve the use of alcohol and drugs. Individuals will stay at NOVA s Heid Avenue facility for approximately 28 days. Call for information. Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) is for individuals with a primary serious mental health disorder, as well as a serious substance dependence disorder. Ohio Youth Led Prevention Network is a joint-venture between the Drug Free Action Alliance and the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction. Together, they build and expand partnerships between youth-led substance abuse prevention programs that develop and strengthen abuse prevention efforts at the state and local levels. Buzzkill is a program to help colleges educate their students on the responsibilities of social hosting and the deterrence of underage drinking. Parents Who Host, Lose the Most is a public awareness campaign to educate parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties. This program encourages parents and the ENTIRE community to send a unified message that teen alcohol consumption is unhealthy, unsafe and unacceptable. Drug Free 24/7 is a social marketing campaign of prevention messages for communities, schools, and organizations that promote drug-free lifestyles and facilitate the expectation of living drug free 24/7. The Parents Toll-Free Helpline (1-855-378-4373) is a nationwide support service that offers assistance to parents and other primary caregivers of children who want to talk to someone about their child s drug use and drinking.
