As Ambitious As You Are Exact Alliance - Remote Data Collection Exact Alliance Remote Data Collection (RDC) allows you to utilize hand held devices (HHD) and other external devices to remotely capture data throughout your business. This fully integrated Remote Data Collection system enables data to be entered via remote devices that update the Exact Alliance database (as if you had entered the information via a PC).The information collected and entered can then be retrieved throughout the system at any point where it is referenced. Exact Alliance RDC connects to your network and communicates with your data via Web Services. One of the primary advantages of the XML Web Services architecture is that it allows programs written in different languages on different platforms to communicate with each other in a standards-based way. Exact Software (UK) Ltd foresees RDC users out on the road, in the warehouse, collaborating with other users, sharing information with customers and suppliers, and distributing access to information in general. At each of those points, users will need to be able to interact with Exact Alliance and the data it contains. Exact Software (UK) Ltd do NOT sell, support or maintain the hand held devices. You may purchase any HHD, PDA or other industrial strength data collection equipment. The device must be running Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Pocket PC 2003. Please note that there are differences between Microsoft s Windows CE, Windows Embedded, Windows Mobile and PocketPC 2003 OS s. Products using CE and Embedded versions of Windows are not likely to work with the Exact Alliance RDC system, and support is not provided for such use.
Physical Inventory & Cycle Counting Remote Physical Inventory & Cycle Counting gives you the flexibility to allocate your physical inventory or cycle count tags to authorized Exact Alliance employees, load them onto hand held devices, enabling those employees to go out into the warehouse or stockrooms and record the actual on-hand quantities remotely. The employees can then communicate those count tags back to your network database either by synchronizing the HHD with a workstation and HHD cradle or via a wireless network connection. The employees and count tags are subject to the same validation and controls as if they were logged in to Exact Alliance as a user. Works Order Kitting Remote Work Order Kitting gives you the flexibility to allocate your work orders to authorized Exact Alliance employees, load them onto hand held devices, enabling those employees to go out into the warehouse or stockrooms and pick and record the required quantities remotely. The employees can then communicate those work order kits back to your network database either by synchronizing the HHD with a workstation and HHD cradle or via a wireless network connection.
Works Order Completions Remote Work Order Completions gives you the flexibility to load open work orders onto hand held devices, enabling employees to go out into the warehouse or stockrooms and record the work order they completed, the quantity of parts completed, and the location in inventory that the completed parts were put into. The serial number or lot number of the part that was completed can also be recorded so that when Shipping delivers the part to a customer, the serial number or lot number is available. The employees can then communicate the work order completion information back to your network database either by synchronizing the HHD with a workstation and HHD cradle or via a wireless network connection. Sales Order Shipping Remote Sale Order Shipping gives you the flexibility to load open sales order onto hand held devices. This enables employees to go out into the warehouse or stockrooms and record the parts they pull from inventory for the sales orders, ship the sales orders, and automatically generate invoices based on those shipments. The employees can then communicate the sales order shipment information back to your network database either by synchronizing the HHD with a workstation and HHD cradle or via a wireless network connection.
Purchase Order Receiving Remote Purchase Order Receiving gives you the flexibility to load open purchase order lines onto hand held devices, enabling employees to go out into the warehouse or stockrooms and record the purchase order lines they received, the quantity of parts received, and the location in inventory that the parts were received to. The serial number or lot number of the part that was received can also be recorded. The employees can then communicate the purchase order receipts information back to your network database either by synchronizing the HHD with a workstation and HHD cradle or via a wireless network connection Remote Labour Entry The remote labour utility can be installed on a remote workstation that does not need to have Exact Alliance installed on it. This application is designed to work with a keyboard wedge barcode reader. The wedge reader will emulate a keyboard when reading barcodes. This application can still be used with a standard keyboard for testing or when a barcode is not readable. When starting labour on an operation, users will typically scan their Employee ID and then a barcode on the work order traveller that represents the work order number, followed by a barcode that represents the sequence ID. The system will know that labour has not been started on this operation so Start Work will be enabled. Pressing Start Work will add a labour entry to Exact Alliance with an empty stop time.
After work has completed, the employee will need to end work by scanning their Employee ID, Work Order, and Sequence ID barcodes. The system will find the original labour entry and show the recorded start time. Users can enter quantities for units completed and scrapped if there were any. Pressing End Work will record the end time and quantities. Future development Sales Order Returns - Purchase Order Returns - Purchase Order Kitting - Miscellaneous Inventory Transactions
