German-Russian Science Network Environmental Research: Water, Waste, Green Energy, Building Kassel University strives to build up a perspective science network in environmental research with partner institutions in Russia. The network will focus on established contacts and will step by step be widened to include more partners and research sectors. First activities are the organization of a Winter Academy for Young Scientists in February 2007 and the establishment of an Information and Communication Platform for Environmental Research. Russian Partners are Technical Universities of Tomsk, Ufa and Jaroslavl. Cooperation so far includes research in the fields of green energy, water and waste management, and building. Especially young scientists are invited to develop bilateral research activities. Winter Academy for Young Scientists Kassel, 7. 9.
