This includes hubs and switches where IN10A data travels. These devices should be configured to AUTO or FULL Duplex. Note: Some switches will only provide 1000 Mbps speed when set to AUTO. n Data cables should be terminated correctly and show n no obvious signs of abuse or wear. Olympus recommends n CAT5E or CAT6 cabling be used. n Olympus supplies RS-232 cables for connecting the n OER-Pro to the protocol converter.
CONNECTIVITY/PORT REQUIREMENTS The following is a breakdown of ports the IN10A application requires. The following services are provided with the IN10A system. REMOTE SUPPORT SERVICES (RSS) n IT client manager (ITCM) remote control, software delivery, and asset management, when necessary, for faster support/training/customization. n File transfer, when necessary, for troubleshooting via ITCM n remote control. n Two options for an RSS connection: Site-to-site (LAN-to-LAN) secure VPN tunnel. Extended network connection (ENC) using the Internet, using port 443 (non-persistent SSL VPN see the Extended Network Connection section below for more details). Option 1 Site-to-Site VPN Port ICMP UDP 4104/TCP 4105 TCP 4728 RSS PORT REQUIREMENTS Description Preferred to be Enabled Internal CA Technology Communication/File Transfer Remote Control Option 2 Extended Network Connection (ENC) Port TCP 443 Description Remote Control Olympus Remote Support Services offers an alternate way to connect to IN10A systems via a nonpersistent SSL-type connection over the Internet. All RSS services are provided via a single TCP port, which is commonly an open port. This connection type requires that each system has an Internet connection. Olympus recommends you do not use the Windows firewall; however, if you require a software firewall (Windows or otherwise), please ensure that all ports listed in Remote Support Port Requirements and IN10A Port Requirements are open to ensure the correct operation of the IN10A system. ANTIVIRUS EXCLUSIONS The performance of the IN10A system, as shipped, is verified by Olympus. Due to ever-changing virus definitions, Olympus cannot guarantee that any antivirus software program will not interfere with or degrade the performance of the IN10A system. If installing an antivirus software program, it is your facility s responsibility to verify the IN10A system's compatibility with the selected antivirus software and its configurations, as installed in your environment, to confirm the IN10A system's performance. Please refer to the Antivirus and Update Policy posted on the www.medical.olympusamerica.com/intelligent-networking website. The following is a list of directories\files to be excluded from the virus scan. C:\OlympusClient\Files C:\OlympusClient\Log C:\OlympusClient\SentDataBackup C:\Olympus\Logs Note: It is assumed that all subdirectories are also excluded.
REQUIRED USER ACCOUNTS During the install process, a local administrator account named IN10A is required. DATA STORAGE Exam images are transferred via DICOM, with temporary storage required on the IN10A laptop while the image transfer is in process. UPGRADES AND PATCHES The performance of the IN10A system, as shipped, is verified by Olympus. Do not install any updates on your IN10A system unless they have been approved by Olympus. It is recommended that you turn off the Microsoft Upgrade Service or the Windows Server Upgrade Service, if present. Please refer to the Antivirus and Update Policy posted on the www.medical.olympusamerica.com/intelligent-networking. Note: The BIOS and driver files that ship with the system should remain at their current version. BACKUP Perform backups to a network attached storage device using Acronis Backup and Recovery 11. Contact your local field service engineer to discuss your individual requirements as specifications are subject to change. 3500 Corporate Parkway, PO Box 610, Center Valley, PA 18034 For more information, contact your local Olympus sales representative, or call 800-848-9024. www.medical.olympusamerica.com/intelligent-networking 2014 Olympus America Inc.
