1 Pano Device Data Sheet How It Works: The Pano Device is a true zero client it has no CPU or memory, no embedded operating system or firmware, no device drivers or other software, no local storage or moving parts. It simply and securely connects the attached keyboard, mouse, display, audio and USB peripherals over a local area network to the Pano Direct Service running within a Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 7 desktop virtual machine on a VMware ESX/ESXi hypervisor. And because the Pano Device is 100% hardware, all software, including the virtualized Windows operating system, applications and drivers, is centralized in the data center, where it can be most efficiently managed, supported and protected. Simply plug the Pano Dual Monitor adapter into the Pano Device s USB port or a connected USB hub, install the driver and attach a supported second monitor via a DVI or VGA cable. Instead users plug the Pano Remote USB key into any Windows XP or Vista computer and run the Pano Remote application giving them full and secure access to their virtual desktop.
