PenLib library software for small libraries PenLib is our original product designed for small libraries which don t need complicated functionality, but still demand quality. It was developed by Penny Bailey while she was still working as a library consultant for a number of libraries. PenLib is all-inclusive and offers seamless navigation across all its functions. Who uses PenLib? Our customers include law firms, barristers chambers, accountancy firms, institutes and associations, research departments, charities and other special and business libraries. Usability cuts down on frustration At Bailey Solutions we aim to design fuss free screens with low training overheads, resulting in a cheaper and quicker implementation. For example, training on PenLib takes only half a day. Our approach to usability means library staff are not frustrated in their day to day routines and end users benefit from easy to use screens. Built on a robust platform PenLib is offered on a SQL Server platform. SQL Server is a robust enterprise level database engine and is now a market leader in data storage and retrieval. This helps us to keep our prices down, because you are not paying for the development of a proprietary library system that only the supplier understands. SQL Server can be operated by most IT staff and is an open platform on which to store your data. You know your data is safe and accessible by you and your organisation. Ask us for an online demo now! Designed for the smaller library PenLib is designed with the smaller library in mind. You are not paying for overly complicated functionality that you are unlikely to use. (If you need more complex functionality please consider our KnowAll system). At the same time the serials functionality in PenLib still handles complex serial materials and there are extensive pre-configured finance reports.
