Partial data on an additional 32 graduates was collected manually through phone calls, emails and in-person visits. This report includes basic employment data on all 87 respondents (both formal and informal), which represents 80% of the class. With 80% of the class accounted for, the report is representative of the cohort. The tech community started to recover from the recession much quicker and many graduates who had initially only pursued public service looked to the private sector for career opportunities. The interdisciplinary nature of the ischool prepares graduates for a wide range of careers and the diverse skill sets of ischool talent are valued in many industries. The versatility of the program allows grads to switch fields readily and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Austin tech community and beyond.
