Sustainability Dashboard Quick Start Guide The Sustainability Dashboard is a web based energy management system that allows users to track a building s performance, generate reports and identify leaks and inefficiencies. Supported web browsers include Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox, and Google Chrome. To access the system: https://anudashboard.anu.edu.au/login.html Log in When you connect to the Sustainability Dashboard portal, the log in screen will appear as in Figure 1. Figure 1: Log in screen To gain access to the Sustainability Dashboard Portal, enter your username and password (case sensitive) and click the Log in button. Note: You may also see the login screen if you try to access a page after an idle period of 15 minutes or more. If you do not have a username and password, send an email to stephen.fahey@anu.edu.au. After the user has successfully logged into the Sustainability Dashboard, the Workspace will display as shown in Figure 2 with your user name appearing on the top left. Monthly sustainability report Clicking on a building number on the map will take you directly to the monthly sustainability report for that building as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3: Monthly sustainability report In the left hand menu you can also select daily report or view individual utilities including business hours versus after hours consumption data. Main menu A drop down main menu can be accessed from the small arrow in the top left hand corner (Figure 4). Figure 4: Drop down main menu You can also view the main menu as a full screen display complete with submenus by clicking on the first line of the drop list called Menu. Page 2
Each button on this page holds a menu item and its related submenus (Figure 5). Clicking on the More option of any submenu list will open all of those options on a new menu page. An extensive range of features are accessible via these menus. This guide will explain a few key features of the Sustainability Dashboard. Figure 5: Main menu and submenus Individual meter data To select individual meters, click on Meter Displays under the main menu item, Graphics & Displays. Then select the desired meter from the list on the left. See Figure 6. Figure 6: Individual meter display Click on today, weekly, monthly or yearly to view consumption data within the window. To view consumption data as a full page, simply click on the graph. Page 3
Trend logs To access trend logs, click on the Trendlogs main menu button (Figure 5). To quickly view the most recent data for a particular trend log, double click a meter from the list (Figure 7). This will open in a new tab and display a graph showing trend log data for today. A filter is available to help search for specific buildings and meters. Selecting multiple trend logs (up to 8) and clicking View Multiple will launch a new web browser displaying multiple trend logs in one display. Figure 7: Trendlogs Figure 8 shows a typical kwh trend log. If you click on the CSV icon, the system will save a copy of the trend log as a spread sheet containing all of the raw data used to compile the trend log. If you select the PDF option, you will get a pdf document of the web display. Figure 8: Typical Trendlog grahp Page 4
Report wizard The Sustainability Dashboard system also provides a utility report wizard tool (Figure 9). Select a chart type, report type, utility, energy log and time period parameters to generate custom reports. Figure 9: Utility Report Wizard To use the reporting wizard to generate a graph comparing this month s data to the same month last year, follow these steps. 1. Click bar chart for chart type. 2. Click consumption for report type. 3. Select electricity. 4. Use filter field to find a particular building or meter and wait for the results to load (don t hit enter). 5. Select a meter and click done. 6. Click next. 7. Choose a time period (month, week, day). 8. Tick Show comparison box and tick Compare with previous year. 9. Click finish. Page 5

Use the time button to change timeframes or comparison periods. The Sustainability Dashboard is a powerful tool for monitoring and managing utilities usage on campus. Users are encouraged to explore the menus and tools to familiarise themselves with the various features. Further training and instructions will be offered once the system is fully online and all meters are connected. Page 6
