DATA SHEET ifinder ENTERPRISE SEARCH ifinder - the Enterprise Search solution for company-wide information search, information logistics and text mining. CUSTOMER QUOTE IntraFind stands for high quality technological products, reliability and customer focus. Thomas Müller Head of trade marketing, Germany AUDI AG KEY BENEFITS Fully automated setup allows for new installation within 15 minutes Preview option of all files without the application required to be installed on the client High saving of costs and time per employee ifinder During the past few years, data growth and its management have played a dominating role for companies. However, with the data growth there are new additional challenges for companies: On the one hand, the massive increase of information to be processed and on the other, the availability of the relevant information for employees. In order to make decisions oriented towards the future and business, companies must count on historic information. This information is often classified by companies as critical and noncritical information and evaluated as such. Another challenge is to identify and compile company relevant information in order to establish a targeted evaluation thereafter. The Enterprise Search solution ifinder indexes structured and unstructured contents from company-wide data sources and is therefore the central point for searching and finding relevant information. The user-friendly interface and the well-arranged presentation support the search request intelligently. The preview function allows the users to have a view of the document even without having the corresponding application installed on their computer. The time saved for employees through the usage of the Enterprise Search solution ifinder is enormous.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ifinder is a modularly expandable solution. The user is supported intelligently in the search and find process. The ifinder basic module includes a user-friendly and highperformance full text search with auto-complete of the search query, typo correction, did-you-mean suggestions, hit-highlighting, duplicate recognition and the full spectrum of the Boolean search. Through, for example, file system indexing, connectors to databases and email systems and the crawler, all available data sources are connected. Rights information from existing authentication systems is considered in order to allow for a personalized search in the company environment. HIGHLIGHTs ifinder 4.7 The fully automated setup allows for new installations of ifinder 4.7 within 15 minutes, it includes the installation of missing system components (e.g. JAVA, Apache Tomcat, SQL Server) and the possibility to build an index and to start the indexing during the installation itself. Facelift of the search GUI: Optimization of the search interface in order to increase userfriendliness -> clear arrangement of search options (e.g. filter options through the usage of the ConteXtors) and improvement of the hit list display (e.g. tabular display) Improved preview through color highlighting of the results in the individual hit documents contributes to the clarity for the user and makes it easier to navigate to the individual results Advanced sorting of the results ( freshness ranking ): Starting with ifinder Version 4.7, the administrator can smoothly set the weightage of the relevance and date and thereby adjust the presentation of the hit list to the needs of the user. Index statistics tool: Possibility for administrators to do an analysis of the files to be indexed before indexing (number / total size of the files to be indexed per file type, estimated indexing time) Index management: Administration interface for the creation of new indexes or to change the configuration of existing indexes (specification of the data source, indexing of user rights, etc.) or for terminating individual indexing runs (time, frequency) Optimized analyzers: Normalization of umlauts, diacritic marks and hyphenation tokens SPECTRUM OF PERFORMANCE OF THE ifinder BASIC PACKAGE Auto-complete of the search query with phrase recognition under inclusion of frequent user queries, search as you type Best Bets with expanded configuration options People Search: Display of contact data of employees from the company s internal social media platforms (e.g. telephone numbers, location information or email addresses) Advanced search options (persistent) e.g. to enrich the search query through synonyms from a standard thesaurus; search options selected by the user remain also for future search sessions; Did you mean...? correction suggestions

Filter: Possibility to filter duplicates or variants (e.g. contextually similar documents) or to group search results according to metadata (e.g. author, file type) -> Guided search / facet search Preview & Thumbnails: By clicking on the thumbnail next to the document title, you can open a preview image of the original document - users - for a better overview of the most important results Serendipity: The possibility for the users to discover new search results that could be relevant for them Concept Search: Search results are grouped according to logical concepts in order to improve the search and allow for a better overview Division into physical and logical index architectures Secure Search: Saving all ACLinformation in the index Full Boolean search spectrum: Front and end truncating, wildcards *,?; Proximity Search, NEAR Variety of connectors: Windows and Unix file systems, Exchange, Notes, SharePoint, SAP, DMS, SCOPE Search-Summit QUERY Your Search: Show / hide Options Results: 1-5 of 5 in 0,12 sec 1 2 Author Filetype 3 Application OntologyNet Company 4 Theme Subject Manager 5 Category Language Image: ifinder search interface have the possibility to page through the entire document even without having the corresponding application installed on their computer Knowledge Map with Instant Search: Clicking in the Knowledge Map, activates an automatic updating of the hit list and a dynamic filtering Stable, high-performance and scalable full text search, distributed indexing and search-server instances for the separation of index and search on different servers. Highperformance, incremental index update. archival and ECM systems, Crawler, JDBC Connector for database applications

Interface for connecting existing rights systems, NTLM authentication Administration GUI with comprehensive reporting Powerful metadata indexing Smart filtering of the hits according to file system filing structures (for file system search) Pattern Matcher: Recognition and extraction of defined information from unstructured texts for automatic indexing and metadata creation (e.g. invoice numbers, product descriptions, contract metadata) Relevance tuning Usage of the API for the creation of own applications possible - API available in JAVA and.net Support of the OpenSearch Standard (Windows 7 integration possible) Web services The synonym thesaurus complements the range of offers: Suitable synonyms are suggested to the users depending on their search query in order to expand their search query with a click. The synonyms can be expanded easily specific to the customer. Integration of the software in existing IT infrastructures ENTERPRISE SEARCH 2.0 - The ifinder additional modules for an optimal search result The additional module linguistic text analysis (LISA) contains the basic form creation and decomposition of compound words. The user no longer has to worry about plural forms (book -> books) or inflected word forms (bought back -> buy back) and will reliably find the searched term as a word component of any compound term. The significant advantage: The user does not overlook any relevant hits. Automatic generation of the basic form and decomposition of compound words are also part of this solution. The user looks for houses and finds documents that also contain house and housed as well as, for example, house as a component of the word regardless of whether it is found at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of the word. We offer the high quality linguistics not only for German, but also for English, Spanish, French and Italian. There are currently 15 more languages available for high quality morphological analysis. IntraFind even offers linguistic add-on solutions for Chinese or Arabic. Similarity search (SimFinder module) describes the search for contextually similar documents. The user receives hits for a search query and one of the hit documents has a high relevance for him/her. With the similarity search, it is possible to find contextually similar documents, which were possibly filed in different content databases. A link to similar documents is shown against every single hit, in order to execute the similarity search. In the similarity search, the significant top terms of the hit document are determined and a new search is started with these weighted terms. The analysis occurs on a contextual level. The effect here is that the located documents do not necessarily have to contain your original search term, but contextually they cover your questions superbly. Semantic-associative search for a quick, intuitive narrowing down of the hit list and for the explorative search: Display of contextually correlated and additional search terms - appropriate to the search query - for deeper and more detailed searches. Search results are generated on the fly, depending on the search term and the basic content. The search query can be narrowed down intuitively in this way. The user has the possibility to get to a manageable number of hits from a few thousand hits.

Text-Clustering The hit list is not only displayed as a one dimensional list, but also fully automatically grouped into hierarchically and contextually connected document clusters. Example: The search for Mars delivers the main clusters Planet and Candy bar. Through the individual clusters, the user can further narrow down the search query and thus only show hits where it deals with the planet Mars, for example. Knowledge Map Current studies on the usage of search engines and evaluations of user data from the search engine providers show that most users enter a maximum of two terms to start their search. If you ask the users about their satisfaction, such search queries rarely lead immediately to the desired search result. With IntraFind Knowledge Map, each user receives a visually well comprehensible answer to his/ her query within a few mouse clicks. Here it is not necessary to type one or more search terms - alternatively through the selection of filters based on the document information hit lists can be generated in seconds and be displayed to the searcher in a wellarranged manner.
