Of course, no two banks accounts are exactly alike so the following pages will provide answers to frequently asked questions, as well as a reference chart that explains how your accounts will be affected, including the names, features and benefits of your new MainSource account. Your Cheviot Savings Bank ATM/Debit card will become inactive at 5 PM. May 20, 2016 May 21, 2016 May 23, 2016 Cheviot Savings Bank becomes MainSource Bank at close of business. All former Cheviot Savings Bank locations will be closed this Saturday to complete the conversion process. Former Cheviot Savings Bank customers can start using any MainSource Bank location and all MainSource Bank convenience banking services.
Answers To Your Questions General Questions When will I officially become a MainSource Bank customer? You will officially become a MainSource customer as of the close of business on Friday, May 20, 2016. Will my deposits continue to be FDIC insured? Yes. MainSource Bank is an FDIC insured banking institution. Your deposits will be insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law. If you currently have deposits at both Cheviot Savings Bank and MainSource Bank, your deposits at each bank will continue to be insured separately for a period of up to six months after the acquisition. Your certificates of deposit will continue to be separately insured until the earliest maturity date after the end of the six-month grace period. When will my accounts transfer to MainSource Bank? Your deposits and loans will transfer to MainSource Bank as of the close of business Friday, May 20, 2016. When can I begin to bank at any MainSource Bank location? Starting on Monday, May 23, 2016, you can access your accounts at any of our convenient branch locations. In addition to our branch locations, you can also access your accounts via Online Banking at MainSourceBank.com, our mobile app, or through our 24 hour automated Telephone Banking at 1-800-713-6083. Chicago Indianapolis Cincinnati Louisville Where are MainSource Bank branches located? MainSource Bank offers an extensive branch network. Following the merger, we will have 91 branches throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois, including 14 locations in Hamilton County, Ohio. A complete listing of our locations, including hours of operation, can be found at MainSourceBank.com. Does MainSource offer free ATM access? Yes. We currently have 14 MainSource ATM s located throughout greater Cincinnati, most of which are located at our branches. In addition, we are a proud participant in the AllPoint ATM Network which allows MainSource customers FREE use of any ATM where the AllPoint logo is displayed. The AllPoint network provides over 300 ATM s throughout Cincinnati and Hamilton County, as well as 55,000 ATM s worldwide. Deposit Account Questions Will my checking account number change? No. Your current checking account number at Cheviot Savings Bank will stay the same with us. Will I receive my checking account statement at the same time of the month as in the past? You will receive a statement from Cheviot Savings Bank for each of your checking and savings accounts within the week of May 23, 2016. This statement will cover the period from your last regular statement date through May 20, 2016. Your next checking account statement will arrive approximately during the same time of the month as your current Cheviot Savings Bank statement. What if I receive my monthly bank statements electronically, will I continue to receive them? To continue to receive your statements electronically with MainSource Bank, you will need to follow the instructions below to re-enroll in our estatement system. For future reference, please print or save electronically your Cheviot Savings Bank estatements. estatement Enrollment Instructions After May 23, 2016, log in to your new MainSource Bank Online Banking. If you are not currently enrolled in Online Banking, you will need to enroll before you can view your statement electronically. Click on the estatement tab, then click on Enroll in estatements. Read and accept the estatement disclosure. * Follow directions for technology verification. You can enroll online by visiting MainSourceBank.com. Accepting the disclosure will discontinue paper statements for all of your accounts. If at anytime you wish to resume paper statements, please notify your local branch or call us at 1-800-713-6083. Will I receive new checks for my checking account? No. MainSource Bank will continue to honor your existing checks on your Cheviot checking account. Will I receive images of my checks in my statement? Yes, unless you are signed up for an estatement. If you receive an estatement, your check images are viewed electronically. Will my direct deposits, automatic payments and transfers I have set up continue? Yes. MainSource will continue to honor the direct deposit and incoming/outgoing transactions set up on your accounts. Your Cheviot Online Banking transfers will not convert to MainSource Online Banking. Please see the Online Banking questions section of this booklet for more information. Does MainSource Bank provide consumer overdraft protection for my account? Yes. See the inserted Deposit Account Terms, Conditions & Disclosure booklet (Customer Information for Overdraft Program) for more information. Will my existing Overdraft Protection change? Yes. Your existing Overdraft Protection will change to Courtesy Cash or Courtesy Cash Plus. If you opted in to Overdraft Protection, you will be placed into Courtesy Cash Plus; otherwise, you will be placed into Courtesy Cash. Your overdraft balance limits are discretionary and may have changed. See the inserted Deposit Account Terms, Conditions & Disclosure booklet for more information regarding Courtesy Cash and Courtesy Cash Plus. Can I still use my passbook for my passbook savings account? MainSource Bank does not use passbooks. Following the conversion, you will be receive a monthly or quarterly statement as the official record for your account.
Will the interest rates I currently earn on my Checking, Savings, CDs and IRAs remain the same? All CD & IRA interest rates will remain the same until the term comes up for renewal. In most cases, interest rates on checking and savings will remain the same as you earn today, however the rates are variable and subject to change at any time. For specific information on your interest rate, please contact your local branch.
Debit Card Questions Will I receive a new debit card? Yes. If you have a Cheviot Savings Bank ATM/Debit Card today, you will receive a MainSource Bank Debit Card with secure EMV chip technology. You will receive your new chip card with detailed instructions prior to May 20, 2016. Shown to the left is a sample of your new MainSource Bank Debit Card. Your new card will be delivered via US Mail in a generic white envelope for security reasons. Please watch for the arrival of your new card. Business debit cards will look different than the card pictured above. What if I do not receive my new debit card by May, 20, 2016? If you do not receive your new debit card by Friday, May 20, 2016, please call 1-800-713-6083 and our call center will be able to assist you in ordering a new card. What is the EMV chip on my new MainSource Bank card? The EMV chip contains encrypted information that makes it difficult for the card to be copied or counterfeited. The chip technology improves the global usability and security of your card as more merchants at home and abroad switch to advanced chip card terminals. Will I receive a new debit card Personal Identification Number (PIN)? You will set a new PIN number at the time of activation. Please see the instructions below to assist you in activating your new card. How do I activate my new MainSource Bank Debit Card? When you receive your new debit card, call 1-877-782-3680 and follow the prompts to activate your new card and to select a PIN number. If you experience any difficulty activating your new MainSource Bank Debit Card, please call 1-800-713-6083 for assistance. When should I start to use my new debit card? Your new MainSource Bank Debit Card will become active at Noon (12:00pm) EST on Friday, May 20, 2016. Begin using your new card at this time. For your protection, please shred your existing Cheviot Savings Bank ATM/Debit Card.
Loan Questions When will I know I have a loan payment due? You will start receive a payment due notice or a statement from MainSource approximately 15-20 days before your payment is due. Payments can be paid in branch, using online, mobile, or telephone banking, or via US mail. Payments received after branch hours or on Saturday will be posted the next business day unless otherwise stated in your loan contract. If you have questions regarding the notice or statement, please contact your local branch or call 1-800-713-6083 for assistance. Will my passbook still be used for my mortgage payment? MainSource Bank will no longer offer passbooks. You will receive a monthly statement that will be used as your official record. Will my loan rate change? No. The terms and conditions of your loan will be honored by MainSource Bank. Will I receive new checks to access my Home Equity Line of Credit? Yes. MainSource Bank will send you new home equity checks. Your new checks will be delivered via US Mail. Other than new checks, all other terms and conditions of your home equity will remain the same. Will my automatic loan payments continue? Yes. MainSource will continue to honor any automatic loan payments set up on your Cheviot accounts. To ensure a seamless transition, please contact any companies where you have automatic payments and transfers set up and provide MainSource Bank s routing information for use after the conversion.
Online, Mobile, & Telephone Banking Questions Will my Online Banking service continue? Yes. MainSource Bank offers Online Banking at MainSourceBank.com. Our Online Banking service will be available for your use on Monday, May 23, 2016 after 8:00am EST. If you are currently enrolled in Online Banking with Cheviot Savings Bank, a separate mailing will be sent with details regarding your Online Banking with MainSource. This mailing will include your temporary password and other important information. Your current Cheviot Savings Bank login ID will be the same login ID that you will use to log in at MainSource. This information will be sent to you via US Mail before May 18, 2016. Customers will not be able to enroll in Online Banking with Cheviot Savings Bank after May 13, 2016. If you want to enroll in Online Banking, please wait until Monday, May 23, 2016 and enroll with MainSource. How do I sign up for Online Banking? If you currently do not have Online Banking with Cheviot Savings Bank but would like to enroll in MainSource Bank s consumer Online Banking, simply enroll online by visiting MainSourceBank.com or via our mobile app. See below for instructions on how to download our mobile app. Registration will not be available for current Cheviot Savings Bank customers until Monday, May 23, 2016 after 8:00am EST. Will my Bill Pay service continue? Yes. There will not be any disruption in your Bill Pay service. More information regarding your new Bill Pay system will be provided in the Online Banking letter that you will receive prior to May 18, 2016. Will my Cheviot Online Banking transfers continue? Any transfers that you currently have set up within your Cheviot Online Banking will not be brought over into the MainSource Bank Online Banking system. You can access MainSource s Online Banking system beginning Monday, May 23, 2016 after 8:00am EST, to schedule existing transfers you had on your Cheviot Online Banking system or any new transfers. Will my scheduled payments continue? We know that payments are important to our customers. So MainSource is taking great care to ensure minimal disruption to any of the payment options you currently use. Below is a guide to help you understand how MainSource will be handling payments you may have in place with Cheviot Savings Bank. For specific concerns or questions regarding MainSource Bank s payment options, please feel free to call our customer service at 1-800-713-6083. Bill Payment Customers enrolled and using Bill Pay as of May 13, 2016 will have all of their scheduled bill payments, as well as any established payees, converted to their new MainSource Online Banking. Automatic Loan Payments Customers who have established an electronic monthly loan payment, as part of their original loan from a Cheviot Savings Bank account to a Cheviot Savings Bank loan account will not need to take any action as this convenient payment option will be converted as part of your new MainSource account. Other Scheduled Payments MainSource does not currently offer the ability to transfer money to an external bank or financial institution. Any customer who has established, scheduled transfers or payments to external banks or financial institutions will need to use MainSource Bill Pay or work with the external entity to establish transfers or payments after the conversion. Does MainSource Bank offer Mobile Banking? Yes. Customers who are currently enrolled in Online Banking will automatically be enrolled in MainSource Mobile. Please visit the App Store SM or Google Play TM and search MainSource Bank to download the app on or after May 23, 2016. You will use the same username and password that you receive for Online Banking to access MainSource Mobile.
Is Telephone Banking offered? Yes. MainSource Bank offers 24-hour Automated Telephone Banking for your convenience. Your new toll free number for this service is 1-800-713-6083. Your first call into our Automated Telephone Banking system will require that a new Personal Identification Number (PIN) be established. In order to log in prior to establishing a new PIN, you will be asked to enter your Social Security Number and a PIN. Please enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number as your PIN during the initial call. You will be prompted to establish a new PIN at this time. All calls made after the initial call will simply require your Social Security Number and PIN. Please have your account number(s) available as certain transactions may require this information. Additional Questions Can I continue to use my existing Cheviot Savings Bank Credit Card? Yes. If you currently have a Cheviot Savings Bank Credit Card, you may continue to use your card just as you have in the past. However, MainSource Bank branches will no longer have the ability to accept payments for your Cheviot Savings Bank Credit Card. If you prefer to make your credit card payment in the branch, please speak to your local branch for more information about opening a MainSource Bank Credit Card. Will my safe deposit box change? In most cases, your safe deposit box will remain the same. There are a few instances where the annual fee will change. See the table below for more information about your safe deposit box or contact your local branch. Due to the Taylor Creek and Harrison branch closures, customers with a safe deposit box at either location were mailed instructions regarding retrieval of their contents. Please refer to the letter sent from Cheviot Savings Bank in March or call 1-800-713-6083 for more information.
