(Revised 6.15.07) Below is an outline of the Living Environment course that uses the Glencoe NY State Living Environment textbook. Please note that there is more depth in the book than is needed for the Living Environment Regents. As a result, please be aware that you will need to cut down on the material that you choose to cover, and be certain to plan well in advance in order to stay up to date with the below map. If needed, time can be cut on the Human Body (Unit 5), as students should have prior experience with those topics. Teachers discretion should be used if topics are to be moved, as long as there is a reasonable purpose behind covering topics out of sequence. They are simply listed in this order since the book covers the topics in that sequence. Teachers should also become familiarized with past Regents exams in order to best choose topics to cover and topics to minimize or remove. CHAPTER 1 Chapter 1 Vocab.
