Assisi is a site included in the Unesco World Heritage List. It is a medieval town whose beauty cannot be imitated; it also is the birthplace of San Francesco, the patron of Italy. In the afternoon departure to Cascia, it is a small village where is located Santa Rita Church and Sanctuary. A very meditative and suggestive place of faith. This Saint is one of the most beloved in the world. With her message of dialogue and peace, Saint Rita reaches everywhere. She has left no writings, only the everyday example of her simple life. A woman with a strong will, she went against convention to follow Jesus Christ. Guided visit with Polish speaking guide. In the late afternoon arrival in Ascoli Piceno, check-in in the Hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
5 DAY Breakfast at the hotel, in the morning visit of Ascoli Piceno with Polish speaking guide and tour with the mini-train Ascoli Explorer. Starting from Piazza del Popolo, an historical tour to explore the ancient town known worldwide for its square-coloured travertine (Piazza del Popolo) and named Town of 100 Towers, visiting museums and monuments: Ventidio Basso Theatre, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Arringo, S. Emidio Church, S. Francesco Church, Palazzo dei Capitani, S. Vincenzo and Anastasio Church, Palazzo dell Arengo, Town Picture Gallery, The Augusteo Roman Bridge. In the early afternoon, transfer to Sanctuary of Loreto -.the Sanctuary of Loreto is the location of the Holy House, where, according to the tradition, the Virgin Mary was born and where she received the famous annunciation from the angel Gabriel. The House is said to have been carried over from Nazareth. Moment of pray attending religion Mass in the Church of Virgin Mary in Loreto. In the late afternoon, transfer to Ascoli Piceno and overnight staying. 6 DAY Breakfast at the Hotel, transfer to Campli. This is a very little town where history and culture, tradition and religious worship merge together in this enchanting town of unique artistic interest. During Middle Ages, under the dominion of the Farnese, Campli became the meeting point for various painters and artists coming from schools like the ones of Giotto and Raffaelo. They have left behind masterpieces that still enrich the main monuments of the historical centre and of the neighbouring villages: the splendid Cathedral of Santa Maria in Platea (14th century), the Church of San Francesco with adjoining convent (seat of the archaeological Museum), the 15th-century Convent of San Berardino and the Church dedicated to the Madonna della Misericordia. However, very important is the Church of San Paolo, for its great artistic and religious value due to the adjoining Scala Santa, that was named so in 1772 when it became a custom to grant plenary indulgence to those who went up the twenty eight steps of hard oak on their knees and with bowed head. A series of six fascinating symbolic paintings accompany the penitents along the path of their atonement; three on the right and three on the left illustrate the most touching moments of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Then transfer to ATRI, a small medieval town, located in a very particular position, at its back Gran Sasso Mountain and in front the sea side view as it is at 450mt over the sea level. It is a town rich in culture and it is famous for Santa Maria Assunta Church one of the 7 churches in the world to have the holy door where it is possible to grant plenary indulgence during Jubilee time. In the afternoon transfer back to Ascoli Piceno, dinner in Hotel and overnight stay. 7 DAY Breakfast at the Hotel, departure to Monteprandone and guided visit of the small village together with the Sanctuary of San Giacomo of Marca which is worth to visit the Church as well as the Cloister.
Later, transfer to Offida, included in the prestigious club of Most beautiful medieval villages in Italy - a very charming old medieval town, very well known also for its DOC wine production and lace manufacturing. Its historic centre is enclosed within the ancient walls of a Castle dated back on XII century. Guided visit of the town: the Town Hall and the Serpente Aureo Theatre (a very gem of Neoclassic art), Santa Maria della Rocca Church, a Romanesque-Gothic church perched on a precipice, Collegiata Church and the famous Grotta di Lourdes (Caves of Lourdes) and visit to the VINEA the Regional Winery located in the former Convent of San Francis -very famous for the production of DOC wine such as: Rosso Piceno, Rosso Piceno Superiore and Falerio. After the visit, wine and local products tasting in a historic winery of this territory. In the afternoon return to Ascoli Piceno, free time, dinner and overnight stay. 8 Day Breakfast at the hotel, end of services and departure.
