Notification for admission to the Ph.D. programmes of different Schools shall be put up on the University website or through newspaper advertisements through Coordinator Research. The SRC shall determine the number of seats available for Ph.D. candidates along with research areas depending upon the availability of supervisors on half yearly basis and submit it to the Coordinator Research. 2. The application for Ph.D. admission shall be made to the Coordinator Research twice a year in the prescribed format. Application Form should be duly filled in & submitted with all the desired documents with Application fee in Cash or DD of Rs. 1000/- in favor of Poornima University, payable at Jaipur. 3. The Coordinator Research shall forward the Admission form to the concerned School Research Committee (SRC). SRC shall duly verify the application forms. 4. SRC shall recommend the list of eligible candidates to Coordinator Research and Coordinator Research announce the list of eligible candidates for appearing in the entrance test and he/she shall intimate the date and time for Entrance Test and Interviews which shall be notified on the University website: www.poornima.edu.in/ newspapers. 5. Application Forms received after Last date shall not be considered in any circumstances. 6. Incomplete / Late received applications are likely to be rejected. b. Entrance Test and Interview 1. The Ph.D. entrance test shall consist of two papers of total 200 marks. The details of the papers are given below: Papers Type Syllabus Marks Duration Paper I Objective (Common For All) General Knowledge Research Aptitude (Reasoning & Statistics) 100 1 Hr Paper II Subjective (Subject Based) General Science Area specific 100 2 Hrs 2. The candidates, who have qualified in any of the National Level Ph.D. eligibility test such as NET/ GATE/ CSIR Exam/SLET or are Teacher Fellowship holders or have passed M.Phil program recognized by the U.G.C., shall be exempted from appearing at the written test and will be directly considered for next stage of selection for admission. The merit of such candidates will be determined by their score in UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE. However they shall be required to face the interview. 3. Date of entrance examination shall be decided by the Coordinator Research in consultation with the President. 4. No separate Call Letter will be dispatched. Shortlisted Candidates are required to make their own arrangements for travelling and lodging. 5. At the time of interview candidates are expected to discuss their research interest / area with interview board. Only the predetermined number of students, based upon the available recognized research supervisors (with concerned specialization/research interest) will be selected for admission to Ph.D. and the list of successful candidates shall be released on the University website 6.
