biographies Melanie Eakes, Senior Vice President, Process, Power and Marine, Melanie Eakes is responsible for Process, Power and Marine s Smart 3D development, which includes SmartPlant 3D and SmartMarine 3D. She also oversees global support and services for all Process, Power and Marine solutions and certification for most of the major products. Her first experience with came in 1978 as an intern with what was then known as M&S Computing. Melanie joined full time in 1984. She began as a PDS developer and later managed PDS development, as well as other solutions. Melanie holds a double degree in computer science and math.
