Datasheet IPPBX User Quick Start 1. Package Content GLIDERVOX Machine 1 (take 4FXO,4FXS as example) Power Adapter (12V / 2A) 1 Quick Start Manual 1 2. Application Topology The 8 LAN ports are used for laptops PC and SIP devices like IP Phones, Wireless AP + Wi-Fi phones, and can connect HUB (hub extensions as extendable SIP ports). The WAN port is used for external Ethernet connection, usually connected to Internet through ADSL / Cable / HTTB. The four FXO Line ports are used for PSTN lines (supplied by Telecom CO.) The another four Phone ports are used for analog phone EXTs or PBXs.
Before Starting: 1- Make sure GLIDERVOX connect with 4port FXO,4port FXS as following : 2- Make sure GLIDERVOX PBX IP is 192.168.1.100:9999, others are 192.168.1.10x 3- If the IP address of the computer conflict with IP address of the IP-PBX, pls.change the data of the computer as above
(1) Login Power on the IP-PBX and prepare a notebook or desktop for connecting to its LANport. Be sure to let the notebook in DHCP client mode and a private IP like 192.168.1.xwill be assign to it. Access the web GUI of the GLIDERVOX at http://192.168.1.100:9999then use the default username / password: admin / admin to login. (make sure the PCIP address is other than 192.168.1.100) Add a newtrunk (2) Create a PSTN Trunk (CO Lines) Click the Trunk item from the left side. Then you can see the list factory ports in middle side, maybe as following:
Delete the original factory ports before any setting. Then try to Add a new Trunk line
Then select the Analog Trunk and actual analog ports you connect with PSTN (if IPBX do not connect with physical line, then it will not appear the selection here). After these, Save and Activate the saving.
(3) Create an analog extension Click the Extension item from the main menu on the left side. Then click the defaultextension, for example 8001. Then select an analog port #7. Save it and Activate thesave. Thus a PSTN extension created, you can connect 8001 with fax machine too.
(4) Create a SIP extension Click the Extension item from the main menu on the left side. Then click the defaultextension, for example 8001. Choose SIP in Advanced Options, Save it and Activatethe save. Thus a SIP extension created.
(5) Create Dial Plan /Dial Rules You can check the factory setting for outgoing calls. It call from route PSNT 1~6 out, Dial 9 access to PSTN line (same as strip 1-digit 9,like 9-8008108000)
If you want to make a custom dial rule, pls.click Add a new rulebutton. You can choose to dial 0 out for PSTN Line (begins with 0 ) as you like.
(6) Incoming Call Rues: Inbound: click Add an incoming Rule, Route choose All unmatched which mean all calls, From provider: the calls from which Trunk. To extension: All calls from Trunk will ring to which extension Click Save then Activated changes For example: you can set all calls from PSTN line 3,4 will ring to fax extension port 8018.
(7)Set up a Ringing Group You can select some extensions in Sales Department as a group, all incomingcalls for sales will ring to this sales group. Any extensions within this group andpick up the call. Name: You can set the Ring Group Name: such as Sales department, Callgroup etc. Numbers to dial to access.: to dial this number, the call will automatically ring to this group. Ringing time for each/all extensions: The ringing duration of each extension in this group, after timefinished,2 nd extension will ring continuously. If not answered: if no one within this group pick up the call, the call will has 3 choices, including to fixedextension or Voicemail, to IVR, or hangup.
(8) How to link 2 IP PABX in same network? We take 2pcs of GLIDERVOX as example, called IP08-A, IP08-B for two IP-PBX,called 2pcs IP phones A, B.
The solution to connect 2 IP08 PBX in same network but in different location is as following: Step 1) Through IAX2 trunk line to register IP08-A as an extension of IP08-B. So call betweentwo IP-PBX is same as call extensions. Step 2) Use the contrary solution in IP08-B to register IP08-A. So, In above structure: 1) A registers to IP08-A as an extension 8001. 2) B registers to IP08-B as an extension 7001. 3) All the extensions under IP08-A are in the format 8XXX. 4) All the extensions under IP08-B are in the format 7XXX 5) Extensions under IP08-A can make calls to extension under IP08-B use format 7XXX. (dialplan 1) 6) Extensions under IP08-B can make calls to extension under IP08-A use format 8XXX. (dialplan 2) 7) The two IP08 links each other via IAX2 trunk. Step 1: Set up a extension 8002 in IP08-A Extension: 8002 ; Phone number of this extension Name: IP08-A_Users ; Password: 8002 ;IAX2 Log on password Caller ID: 8002 ; Caller ID Advance Options: Select IAX protocol
Step 2: Set up an IAX trunk in IP08-B to link to IP08-A via this IP08-B_Users extension. In the page Trunks--> Add a Trunk
Step 3: Set Dial Rule in IP08-B, all calls start with 8 will be sent to IP08-A. In the page: Outgoing Call --> Add a Dial Rule \
Step 4: Set Dial Rule in IP08-A, all calls start with 7 will be sent to IP08-B. In the page: Outgoing Call --> New --> Add a Dial Rule Each extension can only give out 1 plan, and give out more Dial Rules under this plan.
Step 5: Set the user Dial Plan in IP08-A, (same in IP08-B select Plan 3) In the page: Extensions Dial Plan Active the change and apply the application: 1. Register an IP phone to IP08-B with 7001 extension. 2. Register an IP phone A to IP08-A with 8001 extension. 3. Use 8001 to dial 7001. And you can see 7001 will ring and you can pick up the calls.
(9) How to link 2 IP PABX in different network? Situation 1: Two IP08 PBX linked to internet The must-be environment for two IP08 IP-PBX is: two PBX are both in the internet and using the public IP (address such as 210.128.1.15 etc). The configuration setting is same with Link two IP08 IP-PBX system in the same network. We take 2pcs of GLIDERVOX as example, called IP08-A, IP08-B for two IP-PBX, called 2pcs IP phones A, B.
But when you set the trunk, you must use the public ip (219.128.1.18, 218.200.1.99 etc). as the follow: Set up an IAX trunk in IP08-B to link to IP08-A via the IP08B_Users extension. And in the page column Trunks--> Add a Trunk.
Situation 2: Two IP08 IP-PBX followed by router Suppose two IP-PBX are both behind router and using the private IP, without public IP, we need to do port forwarding in the router and make the IP-PBX is reachable to others. Step 1: Set port forwarding in the router for IP08-A The IP08-A is behind the router, to register to IP08-A via the internet, you need to forward the IAX2 port in your router, so all the packets received on the router WAN port (210.11.25.127:4569) will be forwarded to the IP08- A (192.168.1.21:4569). Below is the setting page in a linksys router: Step 2. Set up the service provider and calling rule in IP08-B to make it register to IP08-A. This method is almost the same as above, EXCEPT you need to use the 210.11.25.127 as the service provider instead of 192.168.1.21. Step 3. Use the same method do port forwarding in router-b for IP08-B. Your public addressfrom network provider maybe a dynamic ip which will be changed periodically. To overcomethe problem of dynamic ip, you may need to use the DDNS service, for more info pleasesearch from the internet.
