Reis. Degree in Materials Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal Seminar and last year Project in the Biomedical field in the University of Porto and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (INEB), Porto. PUBLICATIONS AND PARTICIPATIONS IN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS Has 25 publications (14 articles in international journals with peer review and 11 book chapters), all in English. Has participated in different workshops and international conferences where has presented the scientific work and has given several tutorials. Has done 37 international communications from which 14 posters e 25 oral presentations (see pag.3). 1/7

Experience Evaluation Reviewing PARTICIPATION IN PROJECTS Identification of new opportunities of financing, preparation of proposals (including budgets) and selection of partners (at the national and international level); contract negotiation, implementation and coordination of projects; writing progress reports (activity, managing and financing reports). The contact with different Universities, Institutes, Companies as well as directly with the European Commission (trough their scientific officers) as allowed to develop the necessary competences for the identification of new technological opportunities and their viability (see pag.7). EVALUATION AT THE EUROPEAN COMISSION Since 2008 has been selected as Expert Evaluator for the European Commission of proposals in the frame of the 7 th Work Programme and of COST actions (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). Evaluator for the Chemistry panel of the PEOPLE Programme: Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development (IOF); Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF); International Incoming Fellowships (IIF). All this competences were acquired in a collaborative context which allowed for the development of a strong team work.
