The products are networked and allow completely new business models and services The entire product life cycle is based on full digital models / digital twin The product development is integrated, interdisciplinary and federated over the entire life cycle The early phase is becoming increasingly important Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) The after-sales phase is also important service-oriented business models The change process is complex because it includes more engineering areas ( more Configured Items) The IT architecture becomes complex and overlapping (ALM / PLM / ERP) The MBSE authoring tools get more TDM functions and will overlap with ALM and SysLM Standards for data exchange and integration are becoming increasingly important (OSLC, PLCS, AP233, AP242, SysML, XMI,.....) PLM will become SysLM
