Musical Theater Summer Camp Come let your light shine at Boogiezone's Utopia Musical Theatre 2014 Summer Camp. This is a great opportunity for ages 4-17 to Dance, Sing and Act! We will train and inspire students hone their craft in Musical Theatre, uplift themselves and the community. Each week will allow students to learn an experience musical theatre through dance, voice, and improv/acting classes. We will explore different styles of danced used in Musical Theatre, such as Ballet, Jazz, Fosse, Hip Hop, and Modern (African, Contemporary). Also, building song repertoire ranging from classical musical theatre to Pop Rock, where students will learn a variety of son styles. In addition, singing training will consist of vocal exercises and singing as a group. Acting will be taught through improvisational games and techniques. Furthermore, students will study and perform scenes for the stages. We are dedicated to seeing our students succeed on stage and in life. There will be special guest teachers from hit Broadway shows, Headshot Day, Pizza Party Day and much more cool events during the camp. All material will be carefully selected that inspires others and students. Students will perform a FREE show at the end of each week which will be for family, friends, and the community! Boogiezone Academy MTP - Musical Theatre Production Program We are proud and excited to be able to introduce the All New Boogiezone Academy MTP Musical Theatre Production Program directed by Angela Brown-Myers, who has more than 10 years experience in Performing Arts Education and Performance, including name roles on Broadway in shows like Mamma Mia! and Wicked. The Boogiezone Academy MTP program will train and inspire performers in dancing, singing, acting, and teach students how to uplift themselves and the community through Musical Theatre. Each Saturday from 10 am to 1pm, students will work towards performing a Broadway show. In 17 weeks of rehearsal, students will experience musical theatre through, dance, voice, improvisation/acting, and art crafts. This program includes lessons, scripts, CDs of music, costumes and an amazing performance opportunity!
