1. Introduction This product is developed for antivirus protection and protection of Microsoft Exchange 2007 server from junk mail. This software of mail server protection provides: scan messages stored in Microsoft Exchange 2007 mail databases for malware with the help of Virus Scan API 2.0 scan messages passing through the server for malware using technology Transport Agents configuration of actions performed over objects (attachments or message HTML-body) containing malware or computer viruses found in messages; ability to customize the heuristic analyzer to detect suspicious messages; separate actions configuration performed on objects (attachments or message HTMLbody) containing suspicious software that is found in messages; filtering files attached to messages being scanned over specified mask names; filtering messages stored in Microsoft Exchange 2007 mail databases and passing through the server via Transport Agents technology, at specified sender addresses and subject of messages; filtering mass messages mailing; ability to send notification messages to the sender of the message containing malware or computer virus; recipient of the message; server administrators; ability to send notification messages to the sender of the message containing suspicious software; recipient of the message; server administrators; ability to send notification messages to the server administrators about detecting attachments satisfying the filter parameters; ability to send notification messages to the server administrators about detecting messages satisfying the filter parameters automatic update of Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange databases and executable modules via Internet or local network of the organization; scheduled launch of scanning mode of Microsoft Exchange 2007 mail databases and the complex update; control system via web-console of remote administration comprised the Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange and installed on the mail server. 4
2. Installation preparation 2.1 Hardware and system requirements To install and run Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange it s necessary to use x64- based computer (also known as x86-64, AMD64, Intel 64). The hardware configuration of used computers should conform to Microsoft Windows 2003 Server requirements. Antivirus software of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 runs under administration Windows 2003 Server. The following software should be installed: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Internet Information Services (service World Wide Web) v.5.0 or greater. Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0 or greater. Microsoft MSDE 2000 or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 installed locally or in a network. Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0. To install Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange it s necessary to have 300mb free space on the hard drive. 2.2 Installation recommendations Before starting the Vba32 for Exchange installation on your computer it s necessary to follow these recommendations: Download and install all security critical updates for your version of Windows (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/); Download and install all security critical updates for your version of Microsoft Exchange Server; Uninstall all antivirus software of other vendors; Attention: collateral work of some antivirus software is not recommended and may lead to malfunctions of your computer. Uninstall previously installed earlier version of Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange from the computer; Close all active Windows applications. 5
3. Installing Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange installation is designed as a standard Windows wizard and has an intuitive interface. 3.1 Start the installation Run the installation package received from your dealer or downloaded from the vendor s site. 3.2 Welcom screen In the Welcome screen (pic.1) you can look through recommendations for installing Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange. Pic. 1 Welcome screen If the computer has other antivirus software, it is recommended to interrupt the installation by clicking Cancel and uninstall or disable existing antivirus software. After following all the recommendations you can continue to install. Click Next to continue installation. 3.3 License Agreement Read License Agreement very attentively (pic.2). 6
Pic. 2 License Agreement The Setup Wizard offers to participate in Vba32 antivirus. If you participate in the program, then Vba32 antivirus will receive information about new threats detected on your computer, system information and send unique identification which is specified for your computer by Vba32. The installation continues If you accept the terms of the agreement, select I accept the license agreement and click Next to proceed to the next window installation. If you do not accept the license agreement, click Cancel to exit the installation program. 3.4 Database installing It s necessary to install a database that will contain information about updates and spam messages (pic.3). 7
Pic. 3 Database settings After editing the settings of database connecting click Next to continue. 3.5 The Result of database installing In case if an error occurs during the database installation the user will see a message Database installation failed. Check your settings and try again (pic.4). 8
Possible causes of errors: Service MSSQLSERVER isn t running. Pic.4 The result of unsuccessful database installing Incorrect configurations of the server name, username or password. There isn t connection with the remote server. As a form of authentication Windows-Authentication is configured instead of SQLauthentication on the SQL-server. To retry the database installation, click the Back and check the database connection settings. In the case of a successful database installation user will see the message Database installation succeeded. Click Next to continue (pic.5). To continue the installation click Next. 9

In this window (pic.6) You are advised to choose a destination folder for installing files. By default C:\Program Files (x86)\vba32\vba32 for Microsoft Exchange\ is the installation folder. To install in another folder, click Browse and select the folder. Moreover you should specify the path to the registration key. Click Browse and specify the path to vba32.key file in the appeared dialog box. If you do not have a registration key, contact your dealer. Attention: Without registration key the program will function in demo mode! The update of the program and some programs settings won t be available! Click Next to continue. 10
Pic. 6 Additional settings 3.7 Final preparations Click Next (рис.7) to start the installation. Click Back if it s necessary to re-enter data for installation or click Cancel to exit the installation. 11

4. Getting started 4.1 Creating an administrator account To edit Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange settings it s necessary to create administrator of antivirus protection. This account will be used only in this complex. For this you need to run the utility User Registration (RegUser.exe) (pic.9.) from the Start menu. It s necessary to specify login and password in the appeared window (pic.10). Pic. 10 Registration of new user of web-console. 4.2 Automatic update We recommend You to update Vba32 for Microsoft Exchange to get the latest antivirus addons. You can configure update settings on the Update page in the Web-console. By default the official site for update is vendor s site http://www.anti-virus.by/update/. It s possible to specify any valid update path. 14
4.3 Antivirus scanning When the update is finished You will be able to scan mail repositories. We recommend You to conduct the scan of all repositories because there is probability that mail stored on the server can have malicious messages. For this it s necessary to configure the task Enable scanning on a page Scheduler in the Web-console. 15
