In the education process the University offers modern facilities and medical equipment. Recently in 2012 a brand new University Teaching Center was opened, with comfortable classrooms and lecture halls, complete with computer-compatible projectors and PA systems. Presently over 300 foreign students from various countries attend 6-year MD, 4-year MD and 5-year DMD programs and over 250 have already graduated. Furthermore, international students may attend a 2-year MSc in Biotechnology, various PhD programs and a 3-year BSc Nursing program to be inaugurated in 2013/2014. Following the entry of Poland into the European Union on May 1st, 2004, the University diplomas are recognized in the EU countries which makes studies at the MUL more attractive both for Polish and international applicants. Clinical Activity is conducted in 4 Teaching University Hospitals with over 2 000 beds.
