Perform faculty audits and mock emergency exercises. CONSP-2 Negev Natural Gas Distribution System Negev Region, Israel Engineering Consultant providing engineering and design support for the development of the first natural gas system in Israel. Services include guidance with the development of specifications and standards for engineering and construction. Feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, and system forecasting for the regions planned growth were completed. Detailed engineering design plans were reviewed and completed. Construction field support of the distribution system was provided. CONSP-3
Alvord, Burdick & Howson Cathodic Protection Analysis & Design Water Pipeline Illinois USA Performed a multi-year contract to provide cathodic protection analysis and design for large diameter water pipeline transmission mains. The contract included corrosion control monitoring and testing including test point readings, continuity testing, Panhandle Eastern Testing and close-interval survey. Testing was performed after installation at 6 months and 12 months. CONSP-4 GE Energy External Corrosion & Direct Assessment Oil Pipeline Villahermosa, Mexico Provided field and engineering assistance to Mexico's oil company (PEMEX Company) for the completion of external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) and customized training services related to indirect inspection equipment for client's personnel. CONSP-5 Midwest Energy Association (MEA) DIMP Guidance Plan MidWest USA Worked with the Midwest Energy Association to develop a sample Distribution Integrity Management Program. Leveraging ENE s experience and participation in the GPTC DIMP Guidance work, the Sample Program is intended to be used as a template to create a client- specific integrity plan that will be required for gas distribution companies in order to conform to new regulations. CONSP-6 Texas A&M University Natural Gas Pipeline Selection & Routing Texas, USA Project involved the review of alternate gas supply laterals from three potential shippers to provide fuel to a new high pressure combustion turbine/generator. Work involved selecting pipeline routes, designing facilities to meet increased delivery pressure requirements, estimating cost to construct, negotiating with suppliers to procure an advantageous long-term gas supply contract, and completing an economic evaluation of the best alternative for the campus. CONSP- 7
Transmission Integrity Management Program Review ENE was retained by the Client to complete an internal audit of the companies Transmission Integrity Management Program in their efforts to ensure compliance with 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart O. The project involved the review of specific aspects of the clients existing practices, tools and procedures for compliance with Subpart O, and industry best practice. ENE considered 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart O, ASME B31.8S, NACE RP0502, PHMSA Frequently Asked Questions, PHMSA Protocol documents, best practices, information learned during public meetings, along with ENE s extensive experience during the review. ENE also reviewed the internal TRIMP organizational structure to determine project management effectiveness. As a deliverable, ENE provided a written report with specific recommendations on actions to improve compliance. CONSP-8 Due Diligence Interstate Pipeline Acquisition Assisted private equity investor with the review of operating and maintenance practices and forecast capital expenditures related to expansion of a major interstate transmission pipeline holding company and its subsidiaries. Facilities were located in the United States east of the Rocky Mountains. CONSP-9 Due Diligence Gathering System Acquisition Assisted private equity investor with the review of natural gas gathering and transmission system. Activities included assessment of attached production, evaluation of system capacity, market assessment and pipeline integrity evaluation. CONSP-10
Automatic Shut Off and Remote Control Valve Assessment Performed a review of the use of Automatic Shut-off Valves (ASV) and Remote Control Valves (RCV) including industry nest practice, alternatives and merits of available technologies. In addition to reviewing pertinent industry literature and regulations, conducted a survey of natural gas transmission and distribution companies regarding their experiences with ASVs and RCVs. Reviewed client s historical, current, and proposed deployment of ASV and RCV equipment. Identified individual valve segments within the transmission system and prioritized based on factors including but not limited to population density, potential impact radius and blowdown time. CONSP-11 ASV/RCV Valve Estimating Developed unit cost approach to create project estimates for installation, replacement, or automation of existing valves in support of system upgrade initiative. Selected optimal valve locations based on defined program scope. Identified scope of work required to isolate each line segment and developed estimates for approximately eighty valve automation projects. Provided work scope and cost estimate documentation as basis for engineering design work as well as inclusion in Public Utility Commission rate case filing. CONSP-12 Cathodic Protection Record Stabilization Managed cathodic protection record stabilization team centralizing over 30,000 test points into single SAP database from paper records. Managed a team building Pipeline Feature Lists for MAOP Validation program. This team focused on customer and regulator meter sets, crossovers, blowdowns, and other non-mainline pipe segments. CONSP-13
Corrosion Control Monitoring Program Transmission Line Assessment Classified Performed preliminary review of construction data and operating information including leak history for water transmission mains. Work included field testing and data gathering in order to design a cathodic protection system for the steel portions of each line. Tests conducted included current requirement testing, soil resistivity testing, and continuity testing along the pipeline right of way. Specific ground bed locations utilizing the existing easements were identified.
