NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 13/2014 DREDGING CAMPAIGN Mariners are advised that the dredging campaign is now complete. NTM 11/2014 is therefore cancelled. Harbour Master The Royal Harbour Ramsgate Military Road Ramsgate Kent CT11 9LQ 10 th July 2014

Notice to Mariners London Array Offshore Wind Farm Date of Notice 26 th June 2014 Please promulgate the following as a Notice to Mariners: London Array Offshore Wind Farm Diving and Construction Work Please be advised that Red7Marine Offshore Ltd on behalf of London Array Offshore Ltd will be undertaking Diving and Construction work within the London Array Offshore Wind Farm. Work Site The London Array Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 20km from the Kent and Essex coasts in the outer Thames Estuary. Phase one consists of 175 turbines delivering a capacity of 630MW. Two offshore substations export the generated electricity to shore based facilities from where it is distributed to the area of Greater London. The wind farm is located between two sandbanks, Long Sand and Kentish Knock and has varying water depths across the site ranging from 0 to 23m LAT Figure 1: London Array Offshore Wind Farm Location

Vessels Operations will be conducted from the vessel Red7 Reel, a support RIB COM III and shallow water vessel Myss, and also vessel Relume and support RHIB s Jetstream and Blue Spirit operated by Red7Marine Offshore Ltd. The VOS Shine and her daughter craft Pytheas will join the diving operations on site in June/July. Pytheas is currently working as a daughter vessel to Red 7 Reel. During operations the Red7 Reel and Relume will be acting as a mothership for the Myss and the 3 supporting RHIB s.

Additional Notes of Guidance to Fisherman Regarding On Going Construction Activities at London Array Offshore Wind Farm Construction works at London Array Offshore Wind Farm are complete and the wind farm is operational. However, remedial construction works are required at a number of turbines and inter array cable locations. This note should be read in conjunction with Code of Practice for fishing boats and fishing within the wind farm which describes more general guidance to fishing and access within the wind farm during the operational phase. Guidance to Construction Related Exclusions October 2013 November 2014 In order to avoid damage to the wind farm assets whilst remedial construction is conducted at London Array the following guidelines should be adhered to: Safety Exclusion Zones remain in operation for October 2013 and will be reinstated in March 2014 through to November 2014. This means an enforceable 50m exclusion from each turbine and 500m exclusion from a construction vessel will be in operation for this period. Between October 2013 and November 2014 an advisory 100m exclusion should be observed around each turbine and offshore substation due to the risk of exposures of array cable ends at foundations whilst remedial works are on-going. Cable reburial is required at the following locations and as such these areas should be avoided in totality: o Location 1 51 35.1492' N 001 27.9631' E length of exposure approx. 20 m o Location 2 51 35.4466' N 001 31.4780' E length of exposure approx. 8 m o Location 3 51 36.6527' N 001 26.5132' E length of exposure approx. 7 m o Location 4 51 38.1534' N 001 26.3310' E length of exposure approx. 5 m o Location 5 51 37.6977' N 001 28.6514' E length of exposure approx. 6m o Location 6 51 41.2319' N 001 29.8992' E length of exposure approx. 5 m o Location 7 start latitude 51 37.9540' N start longitude 001 26.0287' E end latitude 51 38.4120' N end longitude 001 25.9040' E length of exposure approx. 926 m o Location 8 start latitude 51 41.4290' N start longitude 001 30.8620' E end latitude 51 41.1147' N end longitude 001 30.3970' E length of exposure approx. 865 m Care should be taken within the wind farm site to avoid snagging array cables. Although not expected, natural seabed variation may reduce the depth of burial over buried cables without London Array s immediate knowledge.

Snagging cables not only poses a risk to health and safety but could also cause a serious risk of damage to wind farm assets. Notice to Mariners London Array Offshore Wind Farm Date of Notice July 2014 Please promulgate the following as a Notice to Mariners: London Array Offshore Wind Farm Benthic Survey London Array will soon begin a post construction benthic survey and this is likely to start on July 16th. The survey will be undertaken by the vessel Humber Guardian and will consist of grab sampling in set locations, drop down cameras in some locations and some benthic trawl surveys. The duration of the survey is anticipated to be 10-15 days, weather permitting. The London Array Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 20km from the Kent and Essex coasts in the outer Thames Estuary. The wind farm consists of 175 turbines delivering a capacity of 630MW. Two offshore substations export the generated electricity to shore based facilities from where it is distributed to the area of Greater London. The wind farm is located between two sandbanks, Long Sand and Kentish Knock and has varying water depths across the site ranging from 0 to 23m LAT. Figure 1: London Array Offshore Wind Farm Location
